Had David do some damp work at my house. Will be using his services in the future.

David Preston carried out Damp Proof work at our home in April 2022 under his company name DP Damp Solutions Ltd. After an issue arose earlier this year in one of the areas he had treated we tried several weeks to contact him sending emails, text messages and leaving voice mails with no response. Eventually he replied to a message on Messenger and came to the house to take a look only to tell us that the work he had carried out little over one year ago and which was supposed to be guaranteed for 20 years actually was not guaranteed at all as that company no longer existed as he had set up a new one instead 😡 Absolutely ridiculous. I would not recommend him at all. And yet he has the cheek to advertise himself under his new company as an expert with over 15 years experience. Edit - in response to the below reply. That is NOT what was said at all. David clearly stated that NONE of the work he had done in our house, which is much more than just the area in question - was under guarantee as the company that carried out the work no longer existed. That is why I wrote the review because I was asking him for a copy of some of the paperwork that went with the guarantee for all the work he carried out the previous April as the people we bought the house from didnt have it. And he said the guarantee was void as the company didnt exist. I wasn't even asking him to fix the small area where there was a problem as I'm aware that we disturbed it when we removed the kitchen (although it did literally just fall off the wall despite our being super careful when removing the unit beside it). I was asking his advice on how best to remedy it. The main reason for my review was that he wouldnt guarantee ANY of the work he had done less than a year before!

I had David come to my property where he gave me good, honest advice on a damp issue I had in my livingroom. He have me a free, no obligation quote where I found him to be very reasonably priced. I contacted David 8 months down line from his original quote and even tho my damp had escalated he still charged me the same 😊his time keeping and workmanship is second to none and I'd highly recommend David to anyone. 5 ⭐

Came to my house to fit a door and lock, also plastered my ceiling, and damp proofed under my dining room brilliant job all round would reccomend for anyone 👍🏻
