Atlantis Damp Proofing and Timber Specialists

Great experience with Jamie, he was punctual. Professional and he was able to reassure me we didn’t actually need work at this time. Would definitely use in the future.

Jamie came promptly to investigate our damp problems, communicated clearly, turned up when he said he would and the guys did a nice job from what I can see. Thanks! (Also Atlantis is a very funny and good name for a damp proofing company.)

I had work completed by Atlantis this week. I wasn't looking forward to the mess and disruption. However the three guys that did the work were amazing. Really understanding and left the house spotless when they had finished.

I had some minor damp around all of my upstairs windows so asked Atlantis to have a look. Jamie recommended the ‘positive input ventilation system’ which uses cool air from the loft space and recirculates it around the upstairs of the house. We were hesitant if it would work or not but nevertheless gave it a go. The professionalism of him and his team and the service they provided were superb and I can’t believe how it’s fully resolved our damp issues which are now no longer there. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Atlantis again- great firm.

Very pleased with the prompt and professional service.

Jamie has been to our property on two occasions. He is professional and friendly and gave us good advice on different issues for which he didn't charge. I would definitely recommend Atlantis Property Preservation.

Jamie called me back in the afternoon, and was at my home the following morning. He was extremely polite and professional. He checked the areas where it looked like there was rising damp, but found with his equipment it is historical and has already dried out, so I didn’t even need any work doing. A huge relief, and very honest of him. Would highly recommend this company for any damp concerns you may have.

The work was excellent. Had a full damp course and old plaster removed then a total replaster. The workman were courteous and did a professional job including a great tidy up Highly recommended

Atlantis came to our house to view a damp wall very quickly, recommended solutions and after a satisfactory quote, booked us in for the work quite quickly. The team were thorough, explained the work as they went and completed it in under 2 days. They made a real effort to tidy up after the work, which by its nature is dusty and dirty. All drying nicely and guaranteed. Thanks to Jamie and the team, a great job.

Atlantis were called to my property to assess the damp issues and promptly arrived within the timescale of a couple of weeks they arrived ,supplied a very affordable job of a damp course & rendered all walls and left leaving no mess whatsoever & guaranteed their work . Could not be more pleased . Prompt & professional. 10/10 , thank you again . 1st class

First class work carried out by Atlantis really pleased with the finish and the care shown to our home especially the way everything was left as tidy and clean after the work was completed

Great service from start to finish, very knowledgeable and professional team

Very please with the work Atlantis did. It’s really refreshing to find trades people who are reasonably priced and very professional. Jamie and the team were excellent, nothing too much trouble for them. The after sales care was brilliant too. Always available to answer any follow up questions. I would not hesitate to hire Jamie and the team again. 5 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

Following a pre-sale survey, we needed someone to assess damp areas within the home, put in extra air bricks and to go under the floor to look at joists. Jamie came out within two days of our first conversation and all work was completed within two weeks. Responses to emails were always prompt and work was completed to an excellent standard by Mike and Craig. We would definitely recommend Atlantis.

Jamie was very responsive, polite and efficient. Would highly recommend.

Very professional very clean and tidy workman

Survey first, good communication, great job by Atlantis and left the place clean and tidy so thank you - appreciated.

Jamie and his team at Atlantis were fantastic, from the first visit Jamie demonstrated his knowledge combined with understanding of our circumstances. They followed up very promptly with a neat job throughout. I would definitely use them again and recommend to others.

An excellent service. Jamie came out to give us invaluable advice about a damp issue we had, for which he didn’t charge. It was a very responsive, efficient service. Jamie told us exactly when he would arrive and was highly reliable. His expert opinion was much appreciated and gave us peace of mind. Highly recommended.

Just had work carried out to rectify a dropped floor in my living room by Jamie and his team at Atlantis. The service has been excellent from Jamie’s first visit to assess my problem with the floor, to the underfloor inspection and recommendations for the remedial work, finishing with the installation of new underfloor vents, removal of rotten joists and debris, installation of new floor joists and new floor boards. The team were courteous, friendly and professional and kept me informed as the work progressed throughout the day. I can honestly say that the way the guys carried out the works and cleaned up after they had finished the job was exceptional.

We were most impressed with Atlantis Property Preservation Ltd. We had problems with condensation on our bedroom walls. Jamie called to look at the problem & recommended a ventilation system be fitted in our loft/landing ceiling. This was installed within a week by a very efficient & friendly team. By the following day we had already noticed that there was no longer water on the interior of our windows. We would happily recommend this company. Dec 2023 It is now 7 months after Atlantis Property Preservation Ltd fitted the ventilation system to help with our condensation problem. Our windows are now free of water & the damp walls are now gone. Just wished we had done this years ago! Would highly recommend this system. Thanks Jamie! July 2024 Following a condensation problem last year which Jamie sorted out, we contacted him again regarding some damp issues in our hall. Jamie came out immediately & identified a problem with our damp-proof course. He arranged for the appropriate treatment of the affected areas. Thank you once again Jamie.

5 Star plus service from this company. From the initial assessment and quote provided by Jamie to completion of the work they have been amazing. The lads working on the job worked hard to complete the job on schedule, were courteous and respectful of the property. Furthermore the cost was as quoted, no hidden extras. Highly recommend this company!

Great work for a competitive price. Completed the job to a high standard in good time! Would recommend using Atlantis.

We had Jamie around to inspect a damp problem we've had for a little while. He was prompt and professional, and gave us a really clear understanding of what the issue was and great advice for how to treat it. Absolutely recommend!

Good experience from start to finish. We sought advice re some long standing damp issues in a100yr old house. Jamie the business owner surveyed the issues offered us a clear plan and schedule if work and advice. He was able to organise the work to fit into our tight schedule. The three men who did the job were great, they got on with the various aspects of the task like a well organised team. We were impressed and are hopeful it will help solve some of the issues. Many Thanks and fingers crossed.

Jamie replied to my message within 24 hours and came out at the weekend to take a look at our property. He was very professional, took some readings and gave helpful tips on initial steps to minimise the problem, as well as advice and information for a more lasting solution.

Very good service from start to finish. Came out, gave us advice as to what needed doing and when they could do it. Carried out the work professionally and as described. Very friendly team and would highly recommend.

We had a bit of localised damp in the bedroom. Jamie was quick to respond to our call gave a competitive price, work was carried out efficiently by his boys.Would definitely recommend Atlantis, Jamie and the Lads.

Would not hesitate to recommend. Discovered fungi growing in my utility. Was given some initial advice over the phone and then came down and assessed what was going on and provided advice on the best way of resolving the issue myself. Great advice and trustworthy- won’t recommend carrying out work that isn’t required.

We had rising damp on our external living room wall and internal connecting wall with our neighbours. Atlantis were super quick to respond, and come out to diagnose the problem, provide a quote and an estimated time to start the work needed. Jamie and his team were very knowledgable, not afraid to answer our many questions. The work men were clean and respectful of our house. Would highly recommend Atlantis to anyone who is experiencing damp problems in their house.

Very impressed!- They work very hard, always left the place clean and tidy with no issues. We had damp work completed

Nice honest people. Installed Damp proof course system for me. Very Happy with the service and would recommend them to you.

Jamie Watkins C.S.R.T(Director) and his crew did a very professional job waterproofing my property on Crossland Terrace in Helsby. Jamie initially did a free survey, which was absolutely free. There was no pressure for me to buy any services. A thorough report was presented showing the scope of work recommended. This was a big undertaking that involved radiators being removed and also lot of plaster to enable the waterproofing to be applied. The crew did an excellent job of protecting the floors. New skirting boards were fitted and the re-plastering work was excellent! It looks like a new house! I would highly recommend Atlantis Property Preservation Ltd, because of their professionalism, reliability and also because Jamie Watkins was great to work with!

We had raising damp issues so we called Atlantis and very promptly they called around did a survey of the property, the quote came the next day very reasonable price. The work was carried out last week the builders were polite and always made certain before they finish every night that they cleaned up after themselves. We found the right people and would not hesitate to recommend them in the future first class job 😃 Andy (Northwich)

A job well done. Great quality work at the right price and completed in a timely manner. Thanks

Jamie and his team were prompt efficient and neat. They did a good job of sorting my2 damp walls and I would highly recommend them

Jamie from Atlantis attended my property and after survey confirmed that some of my internal walls were suffering from rising damp. He diagnosed the problem on a Monday and his team came in on the Wednesday and all the work was completed on Thursday. (The turn around from diagnosis to completion was so quick due to a job they had booked in had been delayed). The 3 blokes who did the work were great and cleared away all the mess etc. Can't praise Jamie and his team enough !

Extremely professional workmanship. The lads did a great job. So happy with the results that I want them back to plaster my bedrooms at some point.

Atlantis installed a damp proof course throughout our cottage. From beginning to end the project was professionally managed, completed to time with a quality finish. Jamie gave first rate advice and identified the areas of rising damp. His 3 man team them did the complete job of preparation, installation and re plastering. The team was very friendly and easy to deal with and completed the job as planned. I can recommend Atlantis, they offer a complete service. I am really grateful for a job well done

What a fantastic company. Three hard working chaps turned up and within two days they had damp proofed, plastered, skimmed a room and over board ceiling and skim. It looks like a new room. Jamie also gave excellent advice on his prompt visit on damp proofing plastering and wood worm. I can not recommend them enough. I am sooooo pleased with the room💕

The whole team have been outstanding from start to finish. Thoroughly professional from start to finish. Helpful, informative and they communicate! unlike many tradespeople. The best recommendation I can give is to say, "Yes I will use them again". Top marks for a top team! Thank you and well done!

Very impressed with Jamie and his team. Professional from start to finish. Great quality of work and cleanup afterwards. Wish we had done this sooner! Would highly recommend *****

We had some mold on the wall of a ground floor room. Jamie came along quickly, checked out the wall and reassured that it was caused by condensation and not rising damp. He recommended fitting passyfier vents to remove the humidity without creating cold draughts. We agreed a date and time for the work. Jamie's team turned up on time, they were friendly and helpful and fitted the vents quickly with the minimum of mess. It's early days but there are no draughts and the condensation on the window is much less. Very pleased with the service.

Jamie and his team provided an efficient, professional, and friendly service installing damp proof course and timber treatment in our newly acquired 1930s semi. From our initial enquiry following concerns raised in our HomeBuyer's survey before exchange, to the completed works after purchase, Jamie kept us updated, clearly explaining our options, and answering our questions fully. He and his team were punctual, and kept to deadlines, and they left the site tidy. I have no hesitation in recommending Atlantis for any damp proofing and timber treatment work, and would use them again in future.

Atlantis provided a prompt assessment of a potential area of damp. Gave professional and honest assessments. Have used before and would again.

Atlantis Property Preservation have done three separate jobs for me. Every time, Jamie Watkin has provided professional, timely and accurate advice and quotations. Even where necessary work has been outside of the company's remit, Jamie has been able to provide contacts who are equally professional in their particular field. Atlantis have completed all of the work they have done for me to schedule and specification - without fail. Everything has been done to the highest standards. I will have no hesitation in returning to Jamie's company in the future.

We initially arranged a home visit and inspection by Jamie to investigate wood rot; a thorough investigation and detailed explanation resulted in services agreed for repairs to be carried out the following week. Jamie’s team were professional throughout and completed the works promptly and cleared up all sign of their being on site before they left. I’d recommend Atlantis Property Preservation Ltd to anyone who is looking for a contractor to repair/maintain with a high standard of professionalism.

I have used Atlantis on a few occasions for different properties. The service is always professional and honest - I was advised when I didn't need work and when I did need work doing. If you need work, you receive a clear explanation of why and the solution. The guys worked quickly, cleanly and respectful of your home. Afterwards, I didn't have any issues in damp coming back. I would recommend calling Atlantis if you suspect a damp issue.

Atlantis carried out damp proofing to my property. They were easy to deal with and professional. No issues and extremely helpful. Highly recommended.

Jamie and the team were excellent. Great customer service from initial survey through to completion of the works. The team were prompt, friendly and efficient. I'm very pleased and would not hesitate to use Atlantis on future renovation projects.

Jamie and the team did a fantastic job of sorting out some rising damp around an old fireplace. Nothing was too much trouble and the lads left everything spotless when they had finished. Would have no hesitation in recommending Atlantis.

Installed a vent to relieve a condensation problem. Very efficient and tidy. Very little mess. Would recommend

Amazing service from this company. We had damp work carried out in our new home and the work was done really well by professional and friendly people. Definitely recommend.

Jamie and his team have done a fantastic job! Ive had 2 chimney breast's damp proofed and air brick's installed. The correspondence, timing, workmanship and cleanliness is second to non. Afther a recent damp proofed failure in the same area. I can now see the difference in good and bad tradesmen. The team, stripped the wall right back and delved further and sorted the problem. Unlike the other, who just injected and plastered. This is quality over money. I would not hesitate to recommend Atlatis Damp Proofing. They really are professionals at what they do. Thank you Atlanis! Karen. Langdale Road. Runcorn.

We have recently had Atlantis in to address the damp issues on our ground floor. The team were very friendly and professional. They completed the work efficiently and to a very high standard. Would not hesitate to reccomend them to friends and family.

Had a chemical damp proof course installed. Jamie and the team were great. Top quality work, clean and prompt. Would definitely recommend.

Atlantis Damp Proofing cannot be recommended too highly. It is a very professional and efficient company. The excellence of their service cannot be overstated. The work they did for me was carried out by a very skilful and friendly team. Satisfaction from start to finish.

Absolutely brilliant service and follow up and service from Freya. Brilliant communication every step of the way, great work and friendly team. Can’t recommend enough.

Contacted Atlantis after speaking to other Damp Proofing Companies that did not instill any confidence in me, after reading the reviews on here I felt confident enough to contact Atlantis. Atlantis (Jamie) turned up to an appointment and was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the issues in an old and damp property. After receiving a very competitive quotation from Jamie we decided to book him - the work was carried out by one of the team who was also very polite and curtious, I have since recommended Atlantis to my friends after such a positive experience with them. This company deserve all these excellent reviews as they are second to none. Thank you to the team.

We are delighted with the work that Jamie and his team of very professional tradesmen undertook on our house. The whole team were friendly, punctual, very tidy, took great care of our personal belongings and safety, and were a pleasure to have in our house. We have no hesitation in recommending Atlantis Ltd to any one who requires a new damp course, walls and ceilings skimmed etc and all for a detailed quote that did not go a penny over . Without doubt excellent value for money.

Brilliant work carried out, great communication, very friendly and helpful, definitely recommend this reliable company to anybody, thankyou 👍🏻

Had some damp in the living room, Jamie called round & checked the walls inside & out. Was able to reassure us that the damp course was intact & doing it's job, then advised what was the causes of the damp & how to go about rectifying it ourselves. At no stage was there any attempt to 'push' any treatments, and he wouldn't take any payment whatsoever for his time. Absolutely first class service ! David and Louise Sutton , September 2018 .

Atlantis did an excellent job for us on some damp issues that had not been solved by different damp contractor who was no longer operating. From the initial request for a quote to the work being completed and afterwards their communication was great and prompt. Nothing was too much trouble. The work was done quickly and the room left tidy. I would use them again and would recommend them to others.

I could not rate this company any more. Such a good working team based on honesty and professionalism. I did not want to leave this review to early as we had a horrendous experiance with a few damp companies so wanted to leave the damp to the test of time. A house that once smelt musky with damp all around is now a fantasic home. Thank you!

Jamie and his team at Atlantis are highly recommended. The work was done really efficiently and quickly. It was a complicated job but they were very reliable men. The job is really clean. Would recommend to them to anyone looking for this kid of work. Thank you Jamie and his Team!

I initially contacted Atlantis to get a quote for damp course and sub floor ventilation after a mortgage survey had highlighted some work which required completing and had lead to a monetary retention. Jamie replied to email query within a few minutes of initial contact and came out promptly. He was professional throughout and explained his findings to me in plain detail, something that 2 other PCA damp contractors did not do. The Atlantis survey was detailed and extremely well priced, in fact half the price of a leading competitor! After looking at the reviews and competative prices I opted for Atlantis. On said day the lads arrived at the time agreed and quickly set about the work. They were all very friendly and polite and carefully prepared the area. Total professionals. They cracked on and had the work completed in only a few hours, which is testamont to how efficient they worked. The lads kept the place clean throughout and tidied up on completion. I was extremely impressed throughout from start to finish and would definitely recommend Atlantis and most certainly use them again without hesitation.

5⭐️, great job by Jamie and his team. Fantastic quality work and great communication and friendly service. Clean, tidy and efficient. Thank you Jamie for turning are home from a dank, damp wreck into a beautiful home.

I found Jamie and the guys very professional from the initial quote to them finishing the job, in places the damp course was from floor to ceiling and required total replastering. All the work has been done to a high standard and I would definitely recommend them

I'm very happy with the work carried out in my two reception rooms. I hope to have more damp proofing works carried out elsewhere in the property and will be inviting Jamie back once again.

Jamie and his team came to sort out a problem with rising damp in an extension to our house this week. They were very efficient and amazingly quick, removing plaster, doing damp proof injection, installing a vent and replastering, all in 2 days. The team were really friendly and helpful and left the room very clean and tidy. Jamie provided a quotation very quickly, answered questions about the job thoroughly and provided a 10 year guarantee for the work. I would definitely recommend the company.
