i had my garage door fitted around two years ago and thought I would leave a review as time has gone by. I have to say that upon selecting the company I wanted to purchase and fit my garage door the owner who came and spoke with me was fantastic providing me with all the information I required. a happy, jolly person who is very customer focussed. having selected the roller garage door I wanted a short while later the fitters arrived and did an absolute wonderful job including taking the time and detail to complete little finishing touches that made the job just right. so some two years later my garage door is working great and the grey colour I picked has not faded in any way etc. overall I'm very very happy with the door and highly recommend fortress doors

From start to finish we have had excellent service. Andy explained everything in great detail to us when he came to our house. His van was kitted out with a working roller garage door which helped us to understand how everything worked. Margaret the dog was also a nice surprise in the van!! The fitters turned up on time, were very pleasant and polite...... the bacon sandwich and tea probably helped!!!

We are so pleased with our new roll up electric doors that Fortress Doors fitted. From the moment I spoke to Andy (and Margaret) requesting a quote, to the final moment that both new doors were installed into our prefabricated concrete double garage we were treated with honesty and respect. It is almost three years since we had roller shutter garage doors fitted by Fortress Doors and I posted a review then saying “Excellent service, conduct in a caring and pleasant manner. We are very pleased with the product and its professional installation.” Recently I phoned Andy, the owner, to report that I had noticed some minor scratches that had occurred. Within 48hours the cause of the problem was fixed by members of his team and today Andy came to personally re-spray the small affected area with perfect results. All was done with a smile. Truly excellent service. Fortress Doors are highly recommend and well deserve their 5 star rating.

The demonstration van made it easy to see the options and Andy laid out the pros and cons for each. No hard sell just an honest and open discussion. This company provides great after sales service. I had my four garage shutters put in on my cart lodge 4 years ago. Installation was carried out on time, on budget and extremely efficient and very clean and tidy. The fitters were polite and knowledgeable and a few additional requests were carried out with a smile and without hesitation. I recently had a power surge which tripped the main board so called Andy at Fortress Doors who instantly remembered me and without hesitation he managed to get the fitters to me within 48 hours and unlike many other suppliers arrived with all the potential parts that may have been needed to repair the shutter. Repair was done in minutes and they even adjusted the shutters (mini maintenance if you like while they were on site). Great company, great product and PROVEN afters sales service. Utter quality outfit. Andy was a delight to work with. Fantastic product, great fitting team very polite and accommodating they even liked my tea! No nonsense pricing. Honest and reliable. Came back to do a few tweaks for me, absolutely perfect. Its a delight to have a company that do what they say when they say. Highly recommend.

When they unexpectedly stopped working on a Saturday afternoon, I was worried we'd be stuck for days. I messaged Andy, and he replied within 10 minutes! By 7:30 AM on Monday morning, the fitters were at our house, and the whole issue was completely fixed by 8:00 AM. You truly find out how good a company is when you need aftercare. He fitted a very heavy duty garage door safe lock at no cost so I could get into the garage while the new door was ordered. Fantastic door - We are really pleased. Andy was very professional from start to finish, different to other quotes as he actually brought a van with different types of working doors in so you could actually see the quality and options available before making your decision. The guys that arrived to fit it were straight to work from the minute they arrived and finished leaving a very neat install. I’d 100% recommend these guys if you’re looking to upgrade. We had our old, malfunctioning up and over garage door recently replaced by a good quality Fortress Roller Shutter door. I am really pleased with the workman ship which included re-routing electricity cables, removing and disposing of the old door and rendering the newly exposed surfaces. The new quality door is much safer and secure and provides a much better seal from the elements than before. The roller cover had been slightly damaged in transit, but was replaced promptly with no fuss by the helpful and friendly team. Thankyou guys.

Called Andy from Fortress Doors, found his company recommended by several on a local facebook community post. Andy came round the same afternoon as he was just round the corner. Very knowledgeable, gave me options of what we could and couldn’t do. Didn’t try to put the big sell on me, was straight and honest and I got a bit of a deal for buying two together. Felt very confident with him, just got that feeling of a decent, hardworking honest chap who is running a family business. I had my Roller Garage Door fitted in 2023 and it was first class service all the way through from ordering to fitting and up until now I have had no problems at all. I had to call Fortress yesterday as it was 5pm and I had a problem with my door and I had an engineer come out to rectify the problem at 9am this morning. The engineer was excellent, solved the problem quickly, and I even had a follow up call straight after the engineer left to check that I was completely happy, which I was, so I’m leaving this review as a happy customer of a company that provides a top class customer service not just at point of sale but with excellent aftercare which you don’t always get these days. I needed a garage door installer which could also quote for the work needed to install a lintel. Andy of Fortress offered advice & was able to adjust the original order to my preference with no hassle. He was able to provide the lintel work with his trusted contractors Oliver Mathew Construction on the Monday & Andy’s team installed my electric garage door the next day as agreed. Both teams were friendly, helpful & workmanship was excellent & both cleared up afterwards. I needed a one stop service to avoid potential headaches & problems with dealing with separate companies & Fortress did this with a hassle free install. Highly recommended.

Finally got around to installing a roller shutter to my car port. Decided to choose Fortress doors based on the reviews. So glad I did, from first contact to installation Andy and his team couldn’t be faulted.

My garage was broken into and it contained many personal belongings, so I was extremely worried and needed it secured as soon as possible. I found Fortress Doors through Checkatrade and initially spoke with Andy, who kindly directed me to Mark as he specialises in my type of garage door. When I contacted Mark, he asked for photos of the damage and responded promptly. His response was the most honest and transparent I have ever received from a tradesperson. He provided quotes and openly advised that, due to his current turnaround time of around six weeks, I may be better using another company that could supply and fit a new garage door sooner. What truly shocked me was that Mark still came out to inspect the garage in person and offer a solution. He temporarily repaired the damaged door to secure it until a replacement could be fitted and even recommended a competitor who may be able to do the job quicker than him. He carried out the repair free of charge. Mark was truly God-sent. He is honest, kind, thoughtful, and polite, an absolute pleasure to deal with. His integrity is refreshing in a world where it is sadly rare. God bless you, Mark and thank you so much. Please continue doing what you do. We had our garage doors fitted by Andy and his team several months ago, this review is in regard to there after service. As with many new things there are a few teething problems with them, which we had with our doors. After messaging Andy his team promptly came out and sorted the teething problems, this included the fitting of a new motor to one of the doors as there was a fault with it. As with Andy and his teams previous work, everything was carried out to a very high standard with no problems. I know lots of companies once they have fitted something and got your payment it can take a lot of calls to get them out to sort the problem. With Andy this was not the case, i explained the problem and sent a video, and his team were out within a couple of days. The after service is excellent, I cannot recommend Fortress Doors enough they are EXCELLENT !!!!

Andy, Margaret and the Team recently fitted a roller garage door to the front of my carport. Andy came round and advised me on the best options, he wasn't pushy and there wasn't any pressure selling tactics. The install went smoothly, the team left my drive clean and tidy and Im very happy with the work. I would definately reccomend Fortress Doors if you are considering a new or replacement garage door.

Just had our new roller garage door installed by Fortress. Process began with a call to Andy from Fortress who visited on the day and time agreed to provide a demonstration of their door and control systems. Andy took measurements of door and provided a quote. No hard sales tactics or over staying his welcome. I contacted Andy a week or so later and paid a deposit. New door was ready for fitting approximately 5 weeks later and was installed by Steve and Andy’s son, Dane. The control system is made by Somfy and provides good security features and decent value for the price paid. As the door was only installed today, I’m due to receive the 5 year guarantee and receipt by email within the next few days. To maintain the 5 year warranty a service is required after 30 months and I think was approximately £180. For some reason I can’t upload photos but will attempt at a later stage. Based on my experience so far I would be very happy to recommend Andy and his team.

I wasn't let down by Fortress Doors, After Andy visited my home, Andy qave me a quote straight away and agreed a date for installation of new roller door, Andy's team arrived , they explained what prep work was needed and proceeded to carryout the work required. The work was carried out in a professional manner, once the new door was Installed, they cleared the area and removed all waste, they then demonstrated the working of the roller door. Andy first came out last year to give us a quote on a Saturday which was extremely convenient. Life then got in the way and we didn’t proceed to book, 6 months later I contacted Andy who kept our original order form and honoured the original price which was great. 4 weeks later he came to install and have been very impressed by him and his teams workmanship. Would strongly recommend going for the more premium door which I believe is 77mm, the cost is not much more and feels like a great product. 10/10 Andy would not hesitate to recommend you to all friends and family. The fact the door also includes a warranty is great and the price was extremely competitive. Don’t pay a giant company 100s more, support a local family business you will get a much better service and overall a better product and experience.

Andy popped round for the quote which surpassed expectations so much so, the 2 other appts I had booked in with competitors, I cancelled. Andy has a van that has been fully set up to give full demos on the different doors available. The doors they offer are by far superior to others. The door took around 4 weeks to come from the day I ordered. When the guys arrived on fitting day, they were done from start to finish in under 2 hours. Left no mess and took the old door and parts away with them. I even over paid by mistake and within 10 minutes they had driven back and returned my money. Overall very happy with the quality of the product and the service provided. Very honest, family run company. Don’t even bother with the large mass market companies. Would highly recommend. However in the first week after the new year, Andy, despite being unwell, came over and got both doors installed in a day. We received a brilliant service from Fortress Doors from the very well demonstrated initial visit through to the installation and beyond. The installation was very tidy, on time and hassle free. We did have an issue a few weeks after installation as the door got stuck in open position but they came over the very next day to fix the problem. We had closed the door manually so it wasn’t left open overnight. Always very helpful with replacement remote batteries and communications etc. Thank you for a lovely door!

Their Salesman, Andy, was very pleasant and informative. He was not at all pushy but answered all the questions my partner raised. Based upon our garage door requirements he suggested various products that would be suitable. Decision made we placed our order and he said installation would proceed in 4 weeks time once the door had been made to our specifications. Our door was installed 4 weeks later by an excellent team of friendly fitters and instruction given on its operation. We are delighted with our purchase and thoroughly recommend this company

We cannot rate Andy and his team at Fortress highly enough: we had a roller door fitted in the summer....a first class service! However we had a problem on a Saturday evening. We contacted Andy that evening and he came out to us first thing on Sunday morning (in the cold and rain too!). The roller had come off some clips...we suspect because our builders had closed the door and there was an obstruction. Andy and his team fixed it within 10 minutes. Thanks so much for coming out and fixing it for us. I would not hesitate to recommend Fortress for their great after sales service!

I had an Essati garage door which had been on Rogue traders and was having problems with it. Fortress doors were the ONLY people who would come out to it. I felt happy with the gentleman who arrived. He was concise, leavel headed and subsequently I decided to replace the door as I have health issues. The door was ordered and true to his word he contacted me the week he promised to. The people arrived to fit the door and were very professional. Very tidy and very organised. I would not hesitate to recommend these people. I am not in the habit of leaving reviews but felt it deserved the write up.

We are very happy with the performance of the product. It's quite and reliable and very convenient. Any concerns along the way were swiftly dealt with to our satisfaction.

You're in safe hands with Andy and his team. I had to get my door fitted to a tight schedule and Andy pulled it out of the bag. The door works brilliantly for the 6 months it's been fitted without any major issues. It's needed to be adjusted since install, but Andy was on site a couple of hours after calling and sorted it out. Customer service as it should be. The quote I received for my 3.5m wide door was mid-range for the enquiries I made with other companies, however the great feedback and Andy's personality won me over and I'm pleased to say I feel I've still made the right choice. 5* from me 👍

Fantastic service from start to finish, had 4 quotes in total, first 3 companies quoted within a couple of minutes but gave no real understanding of what the doors were that I would be getting. Andy gave me a full demonstration and I knew exactly what I was getting when the job was completed. Can't fault them, great to deal with, including Callum and Steve who fitted them (and cleaned up including taking the old doors away). Worth mentioning they were not the cheapest I had been quoted, but I believe they were the best value for the doors provided. Would recommend happily.

Just had a single roller door in Chartwell Green fitted. Really happy with it. Dealing with Andy was problem-free and he was very efficient. Our old door was an electric up and over but I wanted to gift the mechanism from the old door: Andy and his team carefully removed the old mechanism for me too. Would highly recommend them!

When we decided to change our garage door, we approached several roller door companies but Andy at Fortress Doors responded quickest and created a very good first impression which for us, goes a long way. Andy offered to make time to visit me that same day, which he did. He arrived in his company van which doubles up as a mobile showroom, and so he was able to show me samples of styles and colours and even show a demonstration video about the product and process. Andy was insightful and friendly, I had plenty of questions and looking back now some of them were probably silly as the answers were obvious, but nothing was too much trouble for Andy and he spent a good amount of time answering all of my queries…… my partner then popped out and Andy was only to happen to answer them all again!! As the installation date was approaching I had other tradesmen working on my dreiveway and so I asked Andy if he could delay my installation date at short notice, he was happy to accommodate even though I would imagine this was at inconvenience to him. On the day of the installation Andy was prompt, tidy and professional. We now have a wonderful, robust and super smart roller garage door and we couldn’t be happier. Thanks Andy and team.
