Phoned Darren who came out to inspect property next day. Thorough damp investigation completed which showed more damp than than previous investigators. This was done in front of myself to show problems that needed fixing. Two weeks later the work was completed. The quality of work is outstanding and professionally done. The room is now like brand new, in a 500 year old part of the house. The price compared to other companies was great considering what needed doing and to others who would have superficially fixed a problem only for it to return a year later. I cannot praise the lads enough who worked solidly with no breaks until the work was completed. Fantastic company and would always recommend to others in the future.

Darren from Blackpool Damp Proofing came out to do a damp survey on my house. Proper honest tradesman. He checked the house thoroughly and told me the house was completely dry (no damp issues). He also gave me some helpful renovation tips and didn’t charge me anything. I’d definitely use Darren again in the future and can’t recommend enough. More trades need to be like Darren!

I can highly recommend this company from my recent experience with them. I had a need for some mould removal and treatment in a rental property, my tenant is in her 90's and on hearing this David said he would attend the next day and resolve the issue, which he duly did by mid morning. David came out to conduct a damp survey for me today. I found David and the team an absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Even though there was no damp proofing work specifically for them to undertake, David spent time explaining how to fix the issue, sharing his knowledge and contacts. I was actually blown away with the kindness, knowledge and service that were provided when there was no paid work on the back of the survey. Although I'm unable to recommend any work undertaken, I can absolutely recommend Blackpool Damp Proofing enough for their integrity and genuine willingness to help.

They did some damp remediation work for us this week in our house…everything explained very clearly, all work done superbly by a great team - can’t fault them…very good company.

I cannot fault this company. We used them for a rental property that we had many damp issues with. Dave came out and explained what was needed, what they would do and what else needed doing to help resolve the damp problems. I then received a 15 page report from him. Alison kept me updated and even phoned on the day to say they would be a little bit late. The work was carried out to an excellent standand and everything they said they would do was done. They came recommended by a friend and my neighbour, who had been told her whole house needed a new damp proof course by another company but Dave told her that wasn't necessary as there was only a couple of damp areas that was needed.

Incredibly impressed with the service received. Prompt and friendly follow up call to my online query and a visit from Dave soon after. Thankfully for us we didn't have an expensive damp problem, but rather a simple problem with a solution. Dave reassured us that he was happy to come out to look and gave some great advice without charge. I hope I will not need their services in future 😉 but will not go anywhere else if I do. I had my damp proud course replaced pretty much throughout my downstairs last week (and took the opportunity to knock out an old brick fireplace I’ve always hated!). The guy who surveyed my house was very informative about where treatment was needed and was happy to rip out the brick fireplace, treat with DPC and make good the plaster. The quote contained a clear map of where work was needed and clear instructions of what would happen. I had a particular week in mind for the job to be done (while my daughter was away!) and they booked me in the calendar accordingly. Alison in the office was quick, polite and friendly answering my queries. Mark and Jack who did the work were brilliant - I’m so pleased with the plastering work and how tidy they left my house. Just had damp proofing done in my kitchen wasn't looking forward too the fitted cupboards and work tops being taken out but rab was brilliant all been put back couldn't tell they had been moved excellent work

First of all there was rising damp and condensation in one end of our house. A quote was obtained and a start date agreed. As we were planning on decorating both rooms once the work was complete we started removing 50 years worth of wallpaper from one of the rooms. Good job we did as the wallpaper was holding up the plaster. Oops. A quick phone call and email to the office and additional plastering was added to the quote and could be done at the same time. The night before work was due to start we were clearing the rooms and found more damp. Mentioned to the lads when they arrived and it was a matter of 'David will be coming later, he can have a look.' Came home and the extra walls were stripped and work had been started. Well done to all concerned. My apologies to the lads doing the work though. They took the radiators off so there was no heating and the weather outside was -5. They just said they warm up when they are working. 3 days later 3 walls were stripped, tanked, levelled and insulated where necessary and all plastered. Just got to wait for it all to dry out now so we can get the decorating done. If you have any problems with damp, give the office a call. Everything was explained clearly and as you can see they are flexible (It was worth getting it all done in one go.) Just remember that dealing with damp is a messy buisness and yhere will be cleaning up to do. Thanks again.

Could not recommend this company highly enough - from the initial inspection by David, the excellent communication by Darren and Allison to the amazing lads working in my house. The work was completed on time and they even helped sort other problems we came across. Amazing! So happy with the work for a very competitive price.

Had a few companies out for quotes and Bdp were the most competitive. But most importantly they managed to rejig a few appts around and complete the work before Xmas. They were very professional and a big shout goes out to Tony and Jack who were friendly and amenable, top guys. They tidied up after themselves and completed all work required to a very high standard. I would highly recommend Bdp to anybody who needs damp proof issues or plastering work sorting speedily and economically.

I would give more than 5 stars if I could, I just moved into my first house and it was riddled with damp that bad you could see it, I gave BDP a call and a very friendly guy came round by the name of Darren I think and gave me a quote which was far better than some of the other ones I’ve had so I snatched his hand and took it. The lads who came round on a date I picked were dead nice and happy to answer any questions I had when I stuck my nose in to see what was going on and overall delivered an unbeatable quality of work, im not a plasterer myself or damp guy but the only reason you could tell they had been round was the fact my walk was pink with plaster, they left my house probably cleaner than it was at first and made sure to wipe everything down and hoover. Thoroughly impressed with you guys

The guys came to sort the damp in my property, very quick and efficient kept the place clean and tidy. What an excellent service!

Could not fault the damp proofing done by this company. However, I would not reccomend to get damp proofing done by this company if you have completely decorated your house (great if you've just moved in/need to revamp the rooms with damp). Obviously we know you need to decorate the plaster once damp proofing has been done but the company could have taken a little more care or communicated with us better. • Carpets were pulled back without asking, underlay was ripped and looked like a jigsaw when put back down (carpets are less than 12 months old). This company do not fit the carpets back down after. We had to lift the carpets to sweep underneath and found food wrappers and lumps of plaster underneath. We thought roll and stroll would be put down in all areas • Skirting boards were put back on wonky after being promised they would be put back how they were. (After having some skirting boards replaced and fitted a few months before damp proofing we asked for money back to get the joiner to redo this again for us and we're only given part of the cost) • Log burner was disconnected and removed. The lads admitted they have never fitted one of these before - meaning we have to pay to get it safety checked and potentially refitted (this fire was fitted less than 12 months ago). Marks have also been left on our hearth • Plaster was mixed within the room they were plastering, meaning walls, floorboards and blinds etc. were covered in plaster splatter (surely it could have been mixed outside to minimise mess!?) • Skirting boards were left nails side down on our dining room table As a gesture of good will they asked a carpet fitter to come and refit the carpet. Unfortunately, the company gave us false promises that the fitter would come each day and took nearly a week for the fitter to come. We had asked family members to wait in the house for us and took time off work to wait in. Also the carpet has not been fitted properly as when you hoover it, it comes up by the skirting boards. We also had to chase up nearly 2 weeks after the job had been done for the removal of materials from our drive. We weren't expecting everything to be prefect but we were expecting a lot more communication, consideration and care to be taken. This has caused some stress for us, especially having to fork out for services to refit things.

Told me I needed a new DPC throughout the entire ground level of my house, including having to rip out the kitchen. Quoted me £5000 - when all it needed was to have the cavity wall insulation removed from the front (which was blocking the vents) and fix some roof ridges. Completely misdiagnosed the issue as rising damp. Didn't properly investigate.

Quoted for removal of some chimney salts and insulation, board and plaster of a 2nd floor bedroom. Survey and quote on time. Managed to start a week earlier than diaries and done and dusted quickly and efficiently. Just really nice folk to deal with. Recommended.

FANTASTIC job and service by the lads who helped me cure my dry rot problem. Tony never stopped working 3 days flat on the job and always had the time and patience for me with my questions. Had a great experience with this company, the office staff were attentive and always prompt in reply. The surveyor was friendly, and informative. We needed some roofing done aswell as interior work. The Honest Handyman was excellent, keeping us informed as he worked. And took photos to explain what he had found and how he had fixed it. Overall a excellent roofing experience. The interior work was much the same, keeping us informed and aware of any developments and delivering to their time line flawlessly. I called Blackpool Damp Proofing out to look at some damp issues around my bay window we were also suffering from condensation and mould in two of our bedrooms,we received a quote within 48hrs of the visit and we were very happy with the price and booked the job in. The two lads who attended were polite and worked in a timely fashion and were very clean and tidy considering the nature of the job. Overall we were very happy and would highly recommend.
