Recently had some work done where we asked for old electric fireplace to be removed, chimney breast stabilised and plastered up. Communication beforehand was excellent. Lads that did the work were polite and cleaned up after themselves and always turned up at expected times. Wouldn't hesitate to go with this company again.

Really impressed with the service from Quirks after we had an escape of water at home. I contacted them on a Saturday afternoon and, despite it being out of hours, they came out the following morning to investigate. They then returned again the day after to carry out the further work needed. The issue involved a concealed water leak, so they had to investigate and open up areas to locate the source, before carrying out the necessary plumbing work. They were really helpful throughout, explained what they were doing clearly and left everything tidy. They also provided all of the paperwork and breakdowns I needed for the insurance claim, which made a stressful situation much easier to deal with. Communication was great from start to finish, they were professional, reliable and genuinely helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Quirks and would definitely use them again.

Quirks have fixed my floor and it looks amazing! It needed sealing and skimming and as you can see from the pictures, the work is brilliant. Ethan came out to complete some floor repairs on my property. The work he completed was top notch. Rather than just doing what he was paid to do he went above and beyond to explain things he was noticing and giving general advice. Wow…what a fantastic job these guys have just done. Luke, Ethan and Dove ( apologies if I’ve misspelt that) are a great team all of whom were courteous, polite and happy in their work. Really pleased with the work Quirks Property Maintenance did for me. They replaced two lintels above my windows following a recommendation from my surveyor, stitched the brickwork and repointed everything beautifully. They did a great job and left everything really tidy afterwards. They were also very helpful and kind throughout, and were always happy to explain what they were doing and answer my questions, which I really appreciated. The finished work looks great and I’d definitely recommend them.

I recently contacted Mike at Quirks to request a quote for some works on our property we'd been thinking of undertaking and although sadly due to personal reasons we have decided not to go through with the works, I felt compelled to share my experience of my interaction with Mike(Quirks) From the onset, Mike was quick to respond and actually due to us being in his local area popped straight up to our property to discuss the matter with me there and then. I explained to Mike that we'd had several thoughts and ideas around the works we were looking for and was met with constructive feedback with the 'positives and negatives' for our suggestions which helped cement our thoughts greatly as to how to move forward. As we were looking to remove 2 stud walls from the area we were looking at addressing, what I was particularly impressed with was the insistence of a visit from a Structural engineer prior to any official quote being provided, Mike provided an excellent local contact. Whilst many might think this not necessary, it actually transpired we had an issue in the loft directly above said stud walls so potentially we could have caused a major issue with the roof so for me this was money well spent, listen to the people 'that know'. As promised after the visit from the structural engineer, Mike returned promptly to review the works again to provide an official quote. A professional document which I personally appreciate very much as opposed to the often 'facebook/WhatsApp, text' messages that seem to be the norm these days which doesn't feel reassuring to me at all especially after having worked alongside many trades over the years on LA refurbs myself so have had many dealings. On receiving the extremely comprehensive quote, I had a few changes which Mike addressed promptly and professionally alongside always being very friendly, nothing was too much trouble and if we were moving forward with the works, Mike(Quirks) would be doing the job that's for sure! No, Mike isn't the cheapest but what he offers is a service that you can feel reassured of that respects both you and your property, that to me is worth a premium especially with so many unscrupulous offerings out there! I think many of us these days have either been bitten with no shows, lack of professionalism and sadly even poor workmanship so to find a company like this is beyond refreshing! In a nutshell, this is how 'it should be done' and many could learn from this! The perfect template of how businesses should conduct themselves as far as I'm concerned. I recently had structural works carried out by Quirks Property Maintenance. Michael was knowledgeable and professional. He was very organised, always turned up when he said he would. He offered advice and guidance on the building regulations process which so many builders don’t. He always listened to and answered my questions. His staff were well mannered, hard working and very approachable. The standard of work is excellent, even the neighbours gave positive comments on the results and how well the work site was run. I would definitely recommend this firm and would use them again should the need arise.

Used quirks as they were highly rated and had done work on our house prior to us buying it. They removed two internal walls and did first fix electrical work, installed new heating pipes for a radiator and re-plastered a room and other bits. All done to a good standard and the workers were always polite and cleaned up after every day. Quirks was one of the more expensive quotes I was given but I’d prefer to go with a more trusted local company. Will be using them again should we have any other building work.

I asked Quirks to quote for a garage. They responded quickly. They were professional, organised, methodical, friendly and easy to deal with. They helped with Building Control and expertly liaised with them in order to sort out any potential build issues. I was very impressed by their thoroughness and helpfulness. The only reason they didn't use them to complete the garage build is that they had other work booked in which meant they couldn't fit us in in the timescale we needed at this time.

We have had a new roof, replaced guttering and soil pipes but the wall remained wet. They resolved the problem by repointing the outside wall. Just completed a complete house renovation with Quirks including structural changes to make a new room, renovating other rooms, some external repairs and fitting new kitchen and bathroom. They were the most competitive quote I received and the ones I felt most comfortable with. Michael Quirk is very helpful and good to work with. Work to a high standard and they wanted it to be right for me, so were amenable to making a few adjustments, even when there were a couple of errors in my plans. Difficult sometimes keeping on top of everything and making the right decisions when you’re remote and have moved out of the house, but it worked well exchanging photos on WhatsApp. Would definitely recommend them.

I hired Quirks in 2021, for a full home renovation which had a lot of moving parts. Michael Quirks is methodical, organised and knows what he's doing. He is easy to work with and has an excellent team who are all friendly, diligent and hard working. The team always went the extra mile to get the job done to the high standard I asked of them. I highly recommend, and will definitely hire their services again in the future if I need more renovations done.

We would highly recommend Quirks Property Maintenance. From first visit to price up the job, quotation provided quickly, team arrived on time every morning, cleaned up every night, attention to detail etc. The work was carried out to a high standard with no mess left. We had the stairs boxed in, 6 new solid wood doors fitted, stud wall put in, plastering and electrics. We have booked him in to do a bigger piece of work removing a staircase, adding an upstairs floor, downstairs bathroom, utility room and moving a stud wall. Communication is always very good. Work is efficient. I have no hesitation in recommending his services and have done so.

Quirks Property Maintenance recently replaced the ancient soffits at the front of our house. A quote was provided free of charge and Mike came to look at the problem in person. A date for the work became available while we were away on holiday and we agreed the work could go ahead in our absence. On our return we found the work had been very neatly done and all evidence that Mike and his team had been there had been cleared away. The communication with Mike right the way through our little project was excellent and the job was delivered to the price that had been quoted. I came across Michael Quirks company on when I googled Flintshire builder's when I needed an archway putting through the kitchen wall to dinning room, stud wall across living room to split the room and install PVC French doors in dinning room and a PVC backdoor. The whole team did a fantastic skilled job, all done in two days. They were friendly, always turned up early and cleaned up at the end of the day. Michael even gave advice on other jobs I was doing on the house and the best way to plan it. I recommend these builders to anyone for any job.

Mike was one builder recommended to convert part of our garage to a downstairs bathroom / shower room. Unlike other builders to visit to provide a quote, Mike listened to our requirements, offered advice in a knowledgeable and friendly manner and immediately instilled confidence. A quote was received within 24 hours and a commencement date was given, which was adhered to. Nearer the commencement date a confirmatory e-mail was received together with a commencement time. Mike and his team subsequently turned up on time and continued to do so every day until the completion of the work. Communication was excellent throughout with us being informed weekly and daily of intended work. Mike and team undertook all work as planned and always ensured we were happy with developments at each stage of the work, together with being more than happy to undertake other tasks identified as the work progressed. Mike managed the project with great skill, enthusiasm and commitment to excellence and his team all responded accordingly. All were friendly, polite, professional and hardworking, a pleasure to have in our home for three weeks. On conclusion of each day the building area was left tidy and there was minimal disruption throughout. During the process my wife was ill and Mike and team showed consideration to the situation throughout the build which was much appreciated. We are more than pleased with the quality of the work completed – a first rate conversion, with mastery and skill by all involved, ensuring the bathroom more than meets our expectations. Storm Dennis did for my back gate so I contacted Quirks for a quote for a new one and a garden tap as well. I received a quote straight away and a date to carry out the work was arranged. They arrived on time, unheard of for a builder, and carried out the work to a very high standard.

Very nice job, replaced condensation impaired glazing and fitted new units, now as good as new, very quick, left everywhere tidy and highly recommended.

We contacted Quirks for help with renovating our new home. From the first call they were very helpful and offered some great advice on how we achieve what we wanted within our budget. All off the lads were very clean and tidy when working on our house, and we are very happy with the quality of the garage conversion and kitchen. Too expensive

Quirks Property Maintenance was commissioned for a charity of which I am a trustee to covert existing space into office and treatment rooms, and a gym. The scope covered removal of existing internal structures and rebuilding, including electrical and plumbing reconfiguration. Unexpected structural problems were encountered which QPR immediately recognised, proposed and delivered a solution. All the work was completed with a minimum of delay and cost. QPR work has been to high standard, delivered professionally and with excellent customer focus. This was a substantial investment for our charity and we are very please with result.

The house needed an update, so was recommended to go with Mike from QPM . From the first meeting with Mike, he listened to what I wanted and believe me I got exactly what I wanted and more. QPM (Quirks Property Maintenance) have been fantastic to work with and we couldn’t be more pleased with the end result. If you can book them – even if you have to delay your project, then my advice is to do get a date in their schedule; you’ll live with your home far longer than any delay in starting, so getting the right building firm is a must. From day one we knew we wanted QPM. It was as clear as that, Mike (Director) met with us to discuss our full house renovation and garage conversion. Right from the start it was apparent Mike loved what he does and can see the realisation of architects plans very clearly. He listened actively, asked great questions and ultimately came back with a clear, itemised costing of our project against what we had requested. Once selected QPM operate with a contract where the price you pay is the price they quote. Indeed that was the case with our project, other than additions we requested. We felt we had a handle on the finance side of things right from the start and it was clear that Mike want to ensure there are no surprises further down the line. We were given a date to begin and a date to complete the project. Both dates were met. With QPM our experience was on time, on budget and delivered to exceed our expectations. We lived on site whilst our building work was being completed. This means that the contractors who do the hard work effectively live with you for the duration of the build. We hadn’t thought about this at all, but the guys who came on site were great. Always on time, always courteous, no swearing, proud of their work – and rightly so. These lads get on the job and take enormous pride in their work. And they also drink tea. Lots and lots of tea! To the ground workers, the bricklayers, the joiners, the roofers, the plasterers, the plumbers, the electricians & renderers and the team behind the scenes I thank you very much for the hard work and attention to detail. And to Mike I’ve only admiration that you have created such an awesome company and collected together so many talented craftsmen to bring our project to reality. Reading this back I realise that it sounds too good to be true. But there is not a word out of place. If you want a job doing properly, and know busy builders are worth waiting for, then I firmly believe you couldn’t appoint a better contractor than QPM.

Mike and his team have given me my dream Kitchen! It looks phenomenal with work completed to a very high standard. Nothing was too much trouble, and I had a lot of requests! This included making a replica wooden beam to match the rest of the house, which they had never done before, but it looks brilliant! They are a lovely team, very friendly, clean and tidy. I was in the house for 3-4 weeks of the extension being completed with two babies, and they were really respectful of this and just generally very helpful. I first had Mike and the lads out to replace some guttering and replace the door and window on my garage. They then totally transformed my kitchen. Just gave them a key and they just got on with it. The amount of work they get through in a day is unbelievable, they don't stop and they clean up before they leave at the end of each day. They have also fitted a new bathroom and sorted out my living room and a bedroom. They have also installed some windows and french doors. Everything they do is always completed to a very high standard and nothing is too much trouble. Excellent communication throughout and any queries are dealt with straight away. Mike and his Team are thoroughly professional and have worked for both myself and my Mother who is 85. I make this point because my Mother can be a little 'pedantic' and they have always treated her with respect and consideration. Mike is our families first call in an emergency or when work needs doing, however big or small. Excellent lads, excellent tradesmen.

Where can I start as there are so many positives. From the 1st day Mike turned up to see the kitchen refurbishment required we knew we'd choose Quirks Property Maintenance even before receiving the quotation as the professionalism shown was second to none. All questions asked were answered and there wasn't a request that couldn't be done going forward with our plans. Nothing seemed any bother which couldn't be said for a number of other companies that came round to give quotations. When the work commenced the wife and i couldn't believe the transformation and amount of work carried out after only the 1st day. This followed suit for the next 3 weeks until the job was completed. Everything ran as well as a Swiss watch from start to finish and the end product / finish far superseded our expectations.
