1st Choice Carpentry & Building Ltd

Great carpenter and very helpful

Would recommend using Scott, searched through quite a few carpenters on google before deciding to use his services. I was not disappointed with the result and his workmanship, a tidy and friendly contractor, who kept me informed throughout the build and helped me out with additional jobs around the house at no extra hassle.

Called 1st Choice for a quote for a job. Scott replied quickly with the quote. The job was done to a high standard, and very professional. Would defiantly have again and recommended to family and friends.

Neat, tidy and very good attention to detail and great quality. I have been using this company for years for many carpentry jobs including new doors and associated ironmongery etc. Structural floors and finishing works. 🥇 Only small draw back is that they don't do all the building work i need , like plumbing. 😄

Scott has played a very important role in our home renovation project! We've done everything from changing the windows to outside cladding, indoor carpentry and plastering etc. Absolutely impeccable craftsmanship from Scott, cannot fault a single thing he's touched! We get so many compliments on our house from passer-bys these days and it is hugely thanks to him! Scott is an honest tradesman who takes time to understand what needs to be done, but he's also got a wealth of experience and is happy to suggest ways things should be done, too. Scott also helped to recommended other tradesmen for the work that he can't do himself. Let me tell you, every person that he recommended has done well! So as long as we live in Sutton Coldfield, we'll be going back to Scott if anything else needs doing. PS: To the person who's left one star review. Sorry you missed on having Scott doing some work on your house! He really is very busy and when your quote slipped through, he was very busy with all that work that was being done on our house. This, however, shouldn't warrant a one star review, as it isn't a reflection of Scott's actual craftsmanship, which what these reviews should be about! Thanks!

Called for a quote on a couple of bigger jobs, with a few smaller jobs. Scott was punctual in attending my property to go through all the jobs and came across as a nice chap. Spent around 30-40 minutes going through everything. Advised me he would get a quote sent over within a few days. A week had passed and I hadn't heard anything. Chased up by text, however, completely ignored. Strange... complete WASTE OF TIME.

Fitted two door frames and doors. Friendly and professional service. Doors look great

Reliable, knowledgeable and hard working. Clean, tidy & very precise. Excellent work.

Absolutely delighted with the work done by Scott. Our cellar had rotten floor joists due to lack of ventilation. Scott came in to replace all the damaged joists with new ones and installed new airbricks to ensure proper ventilation. Additionally, he replaced poorly installed drains with new aco drains. The quality of his work is outstanding, and we couldn't be happier with the results. Scott's professionalism and expertise truly stand out, and we highly recommend his services to anyone in need of building or renovation work.

Scott came to do some panelling, build a bespoke cupboard and fit a ceiling rose. His workmanship is excellent. My living room is transformed! He listened to exactly what I wanted, was incredibly reliable and communicated well. He even worked late until the job was done! Wonderful service! I would definitely recommend him and his company.

Scott did a great job in refurbishing our garage into a utility room with insulation and plastering and fitting new kitchen units and using his creative carpentry skills to build a new step. He is a tidy worker, reliable and courteous and we would have no hesitation in hiring him again.

Scott did a small job for me involving carpentry and installing an extractor fan in the kitchen. He came on time (which is always a plus for a tradesman) very neat job and left no mess. Highly recommended.
