Caledonian Joinery Ltd

Very helpful and efficient, thank you so much!

Martin and Breda were fantastic - we returned our brick reveals to their original openings, leaving huge holes in the wall, which was boarded up with ply during winter. We were living in the renovation and Martin took pity on us, given we also had no rads in the house! He prioritised us as customers which I am eternally grateful for, and turned the windows around in record time. Our builders installed the windows poorly, and broke two of the pulleys on installation and trapping the nylon rope behind the wagtail. Caledonian joinery kindly supplied us new pulley wheels to match our brass ironmongery, which really makes the windows feel premium and robust. A few things to note is their windows are glazed from the outside, bottom sashes come with horns, and they use all white warm up bars (inside the glazing) which are really good quality, and stay true to the original sash design (I always found the metal warm up bars to look a bit cheap). These windows were supply only so I had to fit my own ogee architrave and window board, which really finishes off the windows internally. I wish their business all the best - and thanks to Martin for the speedy turnaround! Thanks, Adam

Very impressed with the service offered by Caledonian Joinery from start to finish (Breda, Martin & the team). Martin & the team have a real passion for their craft and their workmanship is second to none. They made us 3 timber framed sash windows which are superb (made and measured to order), very reasonably priced and were delivered and installed within the agreed timeframe. I would highly recommend Caledonian Joinery and feel very fortunate to have found them.

I've had two jobs done. They are not the cheapest, but I am/was very pleased with the result. I couldn't talk to them because they work like the clappers. I would recommend their workmanship. Finally they are extremely friendly.

Great service and a fantastic box sash replica of the original early Victorian unit, 5* from me

Caledonian Joinery made and installed 4 sash windows. The house is in a conservation area so had to be made in an exacting way. The windows are well made and look great. The Caledonian joiners know their work. Windows were installed within the time arranged and for a reasonable price. It was very easy to work with the company because their team gives care and attention to their customers. Thank you Martin and Breda and the team. Highly recommend.

True professionals. They replaced all of my aluminium-framed windows and doors with beautiful timber ones, draught-proofed and looking lovely. I couldn’t be happier. Much warmer, quieter and more fitting for a Victorian home. I highly recommend this family of first-rate craftspeople

I have just had two windows replaced by Caledonian Joinery, they have been fantastic, great pricing, Breda's communication has been fantastic. They arrived on time to install the windows, it was very difficult as it was a large window togo at the back of my flat on the first floor. They could not get it up the narrow staircase so instead they got it through a first floor window at the front of the property. They were determined to install my windows. My husband and I have had a number of window installed in other properties but they have made excellent windows and were committed to getting them installed, they offer a very professional service. We are very happy with the end product and will be having other windows done by their company in the future. I would highly recommend them!

I couldn't be happier with the bespoke door and windows built for me by Caledonian Joinery. Fantastic service, lovely people and couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Caledonian builders have just fitted two brand new wooden windows for me. What a brilliant job they made of it. The windows are first class! No more draughts for me! The family running it are a delight to work with. From the moment I placed my order to the moment the job was completed everything was dealt with efficiently and with an excellent attitude. The installation was so fast and efficient and I can give nothing but praise. My sister uses this company and highly recommended them to me. We are so delighted we found them. Don’t hesitate if you are thinking about renewing windows, go to this place. You will be so happy with the result! Helen

The team at Caledonian Joinery is excellent! Through the years, we have had all the windows done in our flat. Martin and his team have always been very professional, efficient and precise. In the office, Breda's communication is great. Martin works very efficiently, he is keen about his work being of the highest standards and he is a pleasure to be around. Highly recommend!

We asked for a quote from Caledonian because of their fantastic Google reviews and from that point on we have had a wonderful experience. Martin, Breda, and the rest of the team were incredibly professional, friendly, and a pleasure to work with. We had two sash windows replaced, one large casement and one small bathroom window, and they have all come out looking amazing! Although there was a bit of a wait for the windows, they were clear about that from the off and we ended up getting them fitted slightly earlier that we initially thought. The cost is very reasonable and the service is fantastic. 10/10!!

Just want to say a big thank you to Martin Curran for my new stairs, I know we had to wait a little longer then we wanted but I’m so glad we did , well worth the wait , attention to detail & and always happy to answer any questions , I’ll definitely recommend you to my family & friends

Was such a amazing and easy process listened to all my wants and needs and done such a amazing job, in particular martin was so helpful and went above and beyond , my windows look amazing

Martin & his team did a fantastic job of replacing three sash windows - they clearly are a very skilled team & the windows look beautiful! The windows are of a good quality & good value for money. Breda organised everything - she was super impressive, ensuring that the windows were delivered and installed at exactly the time they promised! We would definitely recommend Cally Joinery for any replacement windows in Islington.

Made a pair of French patio doors for me in record time and they are beautiful. Very friendly and helpful team who go the extra mile, thank you!

Most helpful team for pre and post order. After visiting their factory and Martin attending to measure up, I ordered 4 spiral sash dormer windows. Excellent service altogether, for which they fitted better than the original ones done in 1987 when the mansard was built. Very tidy and am very pleased with what they did.

Absolutely fantastic, couldn't recommend more highly. Martin and the team are amazing. He gave us a wonderful price, the windows were beautiful and he managed to do it all at lightning speed. We couldn't be happier and would recommend him to anyone. One of the gentlest, kindest guys I've ever met.

Excellent work at a reasonable price. We got wooden sash windows made up that are so authentic but also have double glazing. We have already had a few people ask where we got them. And they’re really lovely people too!

Cant recommend enough Breda and her team for the work and the professional service provided. They installed 4 sash windows in just 1 day. The flat was left vacuumed as well which was unexpected and a nice touch.

Martin was recommended to me by boulder developer, John McDonagh. WE had five new sashes made with thick glass. The noise reduction and insulation has been excellent. Five years on and we are going to renovate the front of the house. Very much hope i can book him again.

I would highly recommend Caledonian Joinery. They made all my double glazed sash windows including a bay window and also the front door. They have done such a beautiful job. The front door number is etched on frosted glass which looks stunning. Im really happy and Martin was very helpful and friendly . Thank you!

Had used these guys in the past and they'd done a good job. Made numerous enquiries concerning creating two sets of shutters and two large double doors. Must have chased 4/5 times, emailed photos on request etc. Assured callbacks. Never happened. Ended up using Barnsbury Joinery instead.

My wife was recommended this place from her sister who lives on Arlington Square. Before committing I went round to inspect the work and was genuinely surprised on how accurate the joinery was on her windows and front door. I went into the shop one Saturday afternoon and was greeted by a young jolly boy called Kevin who was very helpful and creative with my ideas. I had some doors made and the joinery on these doors was something I had only seen at my grandads house who lived in China - where the joinery there was done by an old Chinese craftsman who was very famous in his region just outside Beijing. I can say from my hand on my heart that Kevin Is not only the best Craftsman in London but in Europe, I couldn’t believe we had such a man on our front doorstep , highly recommended , great personality, very strong and lots of fun to work with.

Got 2 sash windows replaced in one day. Very happy with this local business. Unbeatable prices and lead times vs the big corporations. Also, they were able to offer advice regarding local council regulations and a contact for a quality local decorator.

I am very happy with the service I have received from Calidonian joinery for my sash windows and staircase. Quality craftsmanship at a reasonable price and the service was swift and efficient. I would highly recommend this place.

Needed a replacement sash window. Went to see them twice, emailed photos and measurements, rang four or five times and spoke to people about getting a quote. I was repeatedly told someone would get back to arrange a site visit (I live less than a mile away). No-one ever returned my calls or emails. Would have loved to give my custom to a local business but they clearly didn't want it.

Caledonian Joinery made 5 double glazed timber sash windows for me at a reasonable price. In one day they took out the 100 year old existing windows from rooms with fitted carpets and full of furniture without leaving any mess at all. They very efficiently replaced them with the new the same day. They left everything clean and tidy. They carefully replaced TV and telephone cables and replaced curtains. I can't imagine a less stressful outcome to any building job. Absolutely ace. Very highly recommended. Adam
