I had great support and patience from the team in designing and then manufacturing the custom desk I needed and wanted, great service and contact throughout the process, it was delivered on time and was well cared for throughout. Assembly was simple, and well explained. The quality of the build, materials, and staining etc is brilliant. I cannot recommend the team here enough and will be going back with other projects!

I ordered the Rustic Desk Corner Two Board Mitre desk with under-desk cupboard as I really liked the look and the option to customise the size and finish to fit my room. The desk arrived well packaged and was straightforward to assemble. Stuart kept me updated throughout the process, and we agreed on a delivery time since you need to be home when it arrives. The desk is excellently made and feels like a solid piece of furniture. There’s plenty of space for my two screens and PC tower. I’m very happy with it and would definitely buy from this company again.

I recently purchased a custom gaming table from Robert Rose Carpentry, and it's honestly transformed how we play games in our household. The craftsmanship is exceptional – sturdy, rustic, and clearly made with care. The solid wood gives it real presence in the room, while the design is thoughtful and highly practical. The recessed play area is a game-changer. It allows us to keep games set up securely, which is perfect for longer campaigns or sessions we can’t finish in one sitting – especially useful with kids around! When not in use, the table leaves can be placed over the top, instantly converting it into a regular dining or activity table. This flexibility means we don’t have to sacrifice space or risk pieces getting knocked over. We visited the workshop before ordering, and everyone was really friendly and helpful. It gave us the chance to review the wood stain and insert options in person, which made us feel confident in our choices. After delivery, Stuart worked with us to resolve a few niggles, and the end result is absolutely perfect. I added the optional rail system and under-table storage, which has been fantastic for keeping the table leaves tucked away neatly. After that, I picked up four cupholders, which have been surprisingly handy - great for drinks, snacks, or storing dice. I also purchased the matching benches. They are very comfortable, not too heavy to move around, but sturdy and well-built. The internal storage fits several board games and helps keep the space tidy between sessions. All in all, the table and benches are functional, beautifully made, and ideal for families who love board games but also need flexible living space. Highly recommended.

I purchased 3 custom made benches. Each one was custom. All 3 were perfect. Super easy to put together. Each bench was assembled in the factory, taken apart and shipped. All I had to do is line up the screw hole and put in the screws. Easy! Shipping to the U.S.A. was reasonable and fast. Packaging was excellent.

Working with Stuart at Robert Rose carpentry was amazing - we created a bespoke room divider for our office, as well as some corner shelves. They were honestly so so helpful with colour for the wood, sizes etc and drew us mock ups of what the shelves would look like which was super helpful. The shelves were also much cheaper than we could get on etsy and we knew 100% that they would fit so was awesome! The office now looks way better than our gym so having to make that look nice now too haha. Thank you :)

I spoke to Stuart and asked him to make me a whiskey barrel with a larger top than normal and we agreed a price, I was quoted a 3 week delivery and at exactly 3 weeks i got notification from the delivery company that my barrel would be delivered 2 days later, i was over the moon. When my barrel arrived as promised Stuart had packaged the top separately as I knew it was going to struggle getting through the front door, the drivers placed my barrel in the desired room (just fitted, phew) and I got to work on putting the lid on, the screws were also provided. After a bit of alignment it was good to go. Stuart this is a masterpiece I am so delighted with it, it is much better than I imagined and already I have had really positive feedback from my recent visitors. If you are looking for hand made quality and outstanding service ROBERT ROSE CARPENTRY is the only place to go. I am sure that i will be using these master craftsmen again in the future thank you so much BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've ordered 10 room dividers from Robert Rose Carpentry, painted in white. The order was submitted on the 2nd of November. I received the order on the 12th of December: perfectly on time for Christmas. Unfortunately, when I opened the box, I saw that the quality of the items was terrible. They looked like a 3-year child had painted them (attached some pics). I immediately contacted Robert Rose and they said "this looks like a relatively easy fix with a bit of touch up paint" and they offered a small refund for the inconvenience. I think that nobody should ever receive a product that requires a bit of touch up paint after the delivery. Since I couldn't be bothered to send them back at my own expenses (they are very heavy and Robert Rose did not offer to send somebody to collect them), I accepted the refund. After on month, nothing has been refunded to my bank account. I don't think I should be the one to chase them. The mistake is on their side. Overall not a good experience: the idea of the dividers is great but not the quality of the product.
I was looking for some made to measure, wooden, dividing room slats, which could be fitted without any drilling or screwing, alongside a very specific colour match. I contacted Robert Rose from the internet without prior knowledge of the company, something I don’t normally do, I prefer dealing with companies that are either recommended to me or I have some prior knowledge of. What a stroke of luck! From initial contact to finally receiving the slats the entire experience was a joy. Every question was responded to quickly and everything discussed was fully realised. My wooden slats are beautiful, the colour perfect and are currently in situ without being drilled or screwed. Stuart was my contact throughout I can’t praise him or the company more. Rest assured this is a first class company who takes very good care of its customers.

Very happy with our new gaming table, it's solid and robust (glad I opted to have the legs as removable, I don't think it would have fit through the door otherwise!). Each of the four "leaves" fit together nicely. We purchased a plastic cover to go under the table cloth to help protect any spillages from reaching the baize mat. We have had a couple of games on it already and it has the cat's approval for comfort. Communication with the company was good throughout. Would recommend for board gaming enthusiasts!

I ordered a largeish corner desk for my home office as I liked the look of the minimal industrial style and hoped it'd be better manufacturered than the cheap wobbly amazon thing I'd been using previously. I had no issues with the process, it took a few weeks to make the thing which was fine. Communication with Stuart was straight forward and was delivered when I asked. I've had the desk for a few days now, and I'm very pleased with both the look, finish and build quality. Easy to assemble on my own and very sturdy. Smells nice too.

Anyone looking for beautifully crafted, bespoke and unique pieces of furniture, I can wholeheartedly recommend Robert Rose Carpentry Limited for their professionalism and attention to detail. I had been searching (fruitlessly) for a very specific size cabinet to house a large silk screen laser printer which would allow me to use it, but at the same time, keep it tucked away leaving me a workable surface above to print from. Bingo! I sent a sketch and dimesions to Stuart Shaw and bang on the day he predicted delivery would be, my gorgeous new work island arrived. I ordered the Richmond Industrial Corner Office Desk with a Natural Danish Oil Finish, made from recycled scaffolding. The quality of the desk is outstanding and exactly what I was hoping for. It has been a centre piece of my home office and already invited multiple comments from visitors. The hand made care is clearly visible and much approeciated. Excellent service and product. Once I explained what I wanted Stuart liaised with me and modified the standard room divider product to suit my needs, cutting and finishing the timber to my exact specifications. I needed some unique timber for a focal point on our staircase and Robert Rose had timber with the right look and the correct dimensions. I would have no hesitation using Robert Rose again for future projects. The finished job has been well admired.

I recently received my Richmond desk and I couldn’t be happier! It’s a beautiful piece of furniture, really well made and a cool design. It’s extremely solid and heavy! Stuart provided excellent communications through the ordering and delivery of the desk and he was happy to accommodate any customisations. With wood you have to expect imperfections but it’s these minor imperfections that really make the desk perfection for me - a one off piece which I’m proud to own. We were in contact via email with Stuart expressing exactly what we wanted in regards to a fish tank cabint and hood and although they hadn't made one before they were happy to make this for us. Stuart was great through out the discussions and made sure we both understood each other before starting the build. I will admit at first I thought the price was higher than I was expecting but having seen the dedication and quality of the build I can understand the cost. Found this place online, as I do like a bit of reclaimed wood furniture. Really happy with the 2 bedside tables that I ordered, they are exactly as requested, they look great and the draws are smooth. The order was fulfilled quickly. The admin could have been a bit slicker, but this is very minor point as they are very responsive and courteous when contacted and eager to please. I am a happy customer who will look to use them again.

Amazing custom quality and industrial design style. I ordered some custom office furniture from Robert Rose in the Summer and I couldn't sing their praises highly enough. Not only do I love it but all my customers, friends and colleagues who see it love it too! I ordered an L-shaped desk, a 3 drawer unit and two sets of shelving - one set custom mounted on the desk and the other mounted on the floor. These were adapted from the kitchen shelves they advertise. Althought he scaffolding makes the shelves heavy, they look the business and are really solid. Stuart was so helpful throughout, confirming the dimensions of my amateur drawings and advising on what was possible and the courier they use was really helpful. And so much alue for money! If you could get these from John Lewis (and you can't) they would have cost 2-3 times the amount I paid.
I was after a new bigger desk and had Robert Rose on my radar for a little while.Their industrial look to the desk is really good and it is very sturdy. I went for the Danish oil finish and so pleased with it. Highly recommended.

Engaged RobertRose to create a bespoke desk. Loved the look of the furniture they create and that it is up-cycled materials. The end to end process was perfect and I had complete confidence in what was happening. Turnaround was exactly as agreed. What arrived is a beautifully put together piece of furniture that has exceeded my expectations. Assembly required 2 people due to the size of the desktop but, other than that, it was very quick and simple. I cannot recommend highly enough!!

I have a coffee table built at Robert Rose (pictured). Its sturdy and looks fantastic in the room. I have the Jacobean finish and the table is 120cm x 3 boards wide for reference.

Stuart and the team were superb from beginning to end. From the moment i first saw the L-shaped desk on their Etsy store i knew i needed one! And i am so glad i did and also chose to get the shelving too. They are superbly built, great craftsmanship, and look amazing if you are into that Industrial style. Very substantial and heavy, these are built to last! I had some custom tweaks i was after and Stuart was able to accommodate them with no problems whatsoever as well as advise a few things along the way. I could not recommend them enough! Thanks guys.
