Mark refurbished our staircase and the under-stairs storage doors, and we couldn't be happier with the result. The quality of his workmanship is outstanding, and we absolutely love how everything has turned out. Throughout the project, Mark was always punctual, polite, and professional. Mark designed, built and installed a single bed with wardrobe, storage cupboards and drawers over a stair bulkhead jn our little girl’s 2x2.4m box room. From start to finish Mark’s communication and professionalism were exceptional. He made lots of thoughtful points on the design, provided accurate drawings and sent a detailed quote. During install the work was of the highest standard and every detail was finished with fantastic craftsmanship. At the end of each day everything was left clean and tidy. Would throughly recommend and would definitely use again for future projects.

My partner and I had just had a full refurb on our property and we needed someone to do a staircase/bannister for us. we reached out to mark and we was that impressed with his work we asked him to fit new doors for us then under stairs storage, cupboards, architraves and skirting. Not only is he a genuine and decent guy he’s a master of his craft!

Mark arranged the supply of 14 internal doors which he then fitted for us. He was punctual, neat and tidy and did a great job. The doors are perfect and the price was reasonable. No hesitation in recommending Hawthorn Joinery.

Mark renovated our staircase, two floors, and replaced old fashioned white bannisters with light oak and glass. Mark completed the work to a very high standard and given the significant amount of work required, he managed to keep the disruption to a minimum. A professional, very high quality job with no ask too much. Highly recommended and we are already considering Mark for our next joinery project.

Mark did an absolutely outstanding job fitting a full kitchen for me as well as continuing the herringbone flooring throughout the hall and into the lounge. Mark has been nothing short of a lifesaver over the last year. I first contacted Mark to fix creaky stairs. A quote I had from someone else was over the top and over zealous. Mark came and gave a reasonable quote along with immediate reassurance. He came and silenced the noisy stairs and so I asked him to supply and fit new internal doors. Also perfect job. Following renovation works I had competed by a builder who turned out to be cowboys, I contacted Mark to complete the carpentry works. I didn’t need to say much and immediately he knew exactly what I needed/wanted. He fitted under stairs doors and shoe drawers, pocket doors, sliding doors and all the skirting boards. I’m kind of gutted that I don’t have more jobs for Mark to do as he’s genuinely a nice guy and immaculate with his work.

We had a glass ballustrade fitted recently & Mark did a fantastic job, it looks amazing. He is very friendly & professional & offers good advice. He is a true craftsman & leaves his work area spotless! Would highly recommend him & would definitely use him again 😀

Mark is extremely professional, tidy and saved the day after having a nightmare of a kitchen fitter in previously that left us without a kitchen for 8 months. We were left with an uneven floor, damaged kitchen panels and non of the kitchen fitted. Mark took on the challenge and finished the kitchen to the highest standard. Mark was very proffesional, easy to talk to and the work was to a very high standard. Each shift was a full day so that we got to the finished kitchen in the time shortest time possible. Mark gave advice when the kitchen was being installed as to best heights and arrangements so the visuals and practicalities of the kithcen were optimised. He was even able to fix up an odd wooden step and that tied in with the adjoining dining room.

Mark has created a fantastic downstairs toilet, which matched our specifications precisely. We are over the moon with the outcome! We would most certainly recommend him to friends or family for any joinery/carpentry work.

Extremely pleased with everything done by Mark. First class work fitting new kitchen cabinets and worktops. He made another bespoke cabinet to match. He fitted a water heater and sink with their associated plumbing. Refitted washing machine and dishwasher. Considerable care was taken to ensure everything aligned; including fitting the worktops against an uneven wall. Coordinated and arranged for an electrician to install new power cables. Everything done was to the highest standards. A reliable, honest, pleasant and very hard working kitchen fitter. Highly recommended.

We used Mark (and John, the carpenter) to re-do our old and outdated stairs. We couldn't be happier with the end result! So well made and the quality of materials used is excellent. Mark is super friendly and helpful, as was John who worked on our project so diligently. Everything was left clean and tidy, and they even came and chopped up our waste for us so that it was easier for us to get rid of. Used Mark for the first time yesterday, to do some minor work on kitchen cupboard to allow access to gas boiler for service. He couldn’t have been more helpful, attending even though he was going on holiday later in the day. Good job, well done, He’ll definitely be my first point of call for any future joinery work.

Mark and John recently completed work on revamping our staircase, this included replacing the posts, spindles and rails etc, as well as fixing the exceptionally creaky stairs. We also had a custom unit built with shaker style doors to box in our gas meter and electrical cupboard. Mark was excellent in the planning stage, he understood the vision for what we wanted to achieve and made this part of the process very straightforward. All the work was carried out to a very high standard and the finish is excellent. They were also extremely polite, courteous and easy to get along with. In addition to this they were very tidy, everywhere was spotless after each day. They also pointed out some floor boards on the landing that weren't in the best condition and came back a few days later to rectify this for us as they were working on a job close by; this was very much appreciated, I'm sure they probably had much better things to be doing with their time than this minor repair job. We would thoroughly recommend Hawthorn Carpentry & Joinery and won't hesitate to use them again in future, excellent service from start to finish.

Mark and John rebuilt our understairs and made a new cupboard in our hall recently. We now have great cupboard space as well as an open area which has given us more space and provided an interesting feature. The workmanship and attention to detail is top class.
