TN Design & Build

Tom and his team were honestly brilliant from start to finish and their attention to detail really shows. They were very easy to deal with and nothing was ever too much trouble. Any questions we had were always answered straight away and the work was finished on time and has completely transformed our home into a great social space. After living with it for six weeks now, we absolutely love it & wouldn’t change anything. All the tradesmen were polite and genuinely lovely to have in our home. So glad we chose Tom and his team and would 100% recommend them.

We have worked with TN Design & Build numerous times over recent years and it has always been a pleasure working alongside them on projects, a lot of which take place in and around Walton on Thames. Their professional and detailed approach means their output consistently maintains the highest of standards.

I live in Woodham and recently completed some building work. TN were wonderful. I was really pleased with every aspect of the build and the final result beyond my expectations. Can not recommend them highly enough.

Walton on Thames Total kitchen refit. From taking away old units, re plastering ceilings and walls. Work carried out to a very high spec and never a problem if we needed to adjust small things. Would highly recommend.

We employed TN Design and Build to undertake some major works and could not be happier with the result. The quality of workmanship is exceptional and all of the trades involved were excellent, responsive, friendly and knowledgeable - we were in the best hands. All expertly managed and coordinated by Tom, and his team. Would highly recommend them.

I employed TN to carry out significant extension work at my property in Surrey. Between Tom, Darren and Chris the project was managed superbly. Each trade performed impecably, with great communication. We completed on time and within budget. Couldn’t ask for more!

Tom and his team at TN Design have been amazing throughout our build in Walton-on-Thames. They started on time, and it looks like everything will be finished right when they said it would. The team has been polite, professional, and great at keeping us updated each week, and the site has always been clean and tidy. Special thanks to Terry, who’s been with from the start through to this current stage - friendly, helpful, and quick to get answers (thanks also to Chris, our site manager!). And a big thank you to George and Matt, who’ve been great throughout the build. We’ve had such a positive experience, we can’t wait to see the finished project!

We had a double-storey extension built by TN Design & Build at our home in Ottershaw, and we are absolutely over the moon with the results. Right from the start, their quote was exceptionally detailed, giving us complete confidence and peace of mind. Everything was clearly explained with no hidden costs, which really set them apart from other companies we approached. Throughout the project, the team was professional, reliable and genuinely a pleasure to work with. They listened to what we wanted and offered fantastic ideas that made the overall design even better than we had imagined. The quality of the work is outstanding, every part has been finished to a very high standard, and the attention to detail is obvious in every room. The new space has completely transformed our home and how we live in it. The project was completed on time, communication was excellent throughout, and we always felt informed and supported at every stage. We’ve already had so many compliments from friends, family, and neighbours. We would highly recommend TN Design & Build to anyone.

We approached TN Design & Build at a very early stage of our project in Rowtown, unsure whether to start with a builder or an architect. To our relief, we discovered that TN could manage everything under one roof—design, planning, structural engineering, and the full build. This was a huge benefit for us, as it meant one point of contact throughout the entire process, making the experience far more streamlined and reassuring. From the outset, the team guided us through each stage with complete transparency. One of the biggest advantages was that they helped us understand realistic build costs before going into planning, ensuring we were designing something that worked within our budget—unlike a friend of ours who spent time and money on drawings they couldn’t afford to build. As with any project of this scale, there were naturally a few ups and downs, but TN were always proactive, supportive, and solution-focused. They managed timelines effectively and kept us informed at every step. We’re now living in a beautiful family home that has genuinely transformed the way we live day to day—all thanks to TN Design & Build. We couldn’t be happier with the result and would highly recommend them to anyone considering a building project.

Between late 2024 and the first half of 2025, we undertook a full house renovation with TN, transforming a 1950s property—previously extended in a disjointed and impractical way—into a modern, functional, and, most importantly, enjoyable home. The entire process went as smoothly as we could have hoped. TN were excellent to work with: communication was clear and consistent, and they were always responsive to our ideas and concerns. They helped us address design gaps and offered objective advice to ensure our plans could be achieved in practice. Chris, the project manager, was a pleasure to work with—always approachable and supportive, he made sure we never felt out of our depth, listening carefully and focusing on turning our ideas into reality. Tom’s enthusiasm for the project and his encouragement throughout were invaluable, while Kath provided clear and efficient guidance on the payments side. We are extremely happy with the finished result and look forward to enjoying our home for many years to come.

Really happy with the work ‘TN Design and Build’ did on our garage door. The team were friendly, professional and made the whole process easy from start to finish. They checked in with us at every stage to make sure we were happy, and the end result looks great and feels really solid. Would happily use them again and recommend TN Design and Build to anyone looking for reliable home improvements.

I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside TN Design and Build and their team on several projects, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. As a plasterer, I know the importance of a solid foundation and precise work, and Tom always ensures that the structure is ready for the finishing touches. The quality of their work is always to a high standard and their attention to detail is fantastic.

We have engaged TN Design & Build for our new extension in Cobham and have been very impressed so far having completed the design stage. The architect has produced a superb design, meeting all of our requirements and giving us a perfect solution to our space needs, and going beyond our initial concept with very creative solutions. All our requested changes due to budgetary constraints were taken on board without any pushback and we are delighted with the new design. Planning submission has gone in and there has been no fuss getting us to this stage. Communication with Tom has been highly professional, friendly and very reassuring from the beginning with regular visits and emails. We are now looking forward to the construction phase. I would highly recommend TN Design & Build for a professional, creative and stress-free experience.

Tom and the team built a single storey extension with a full refurbishment of my property in Weybridge. I was impressed with these guys from start to finish. Very clear and transparent from the initial meeting, which is unusual for many building companies. The quote was extremely detailed which I liked and the attention to detail was equal to my own. We used their in-house design service to get exactly what we wanted. It was good to have someone there with experience who could tell us what was achievable and what wasn't, with the space we had available. Highly recommended. A+

We recently had a house extension built and couldn’t be happier with the results. From start to finish, the TN Design & Build was professional, reliable and easy to work with. They kept everything on schedule and communicated with us throughout! Highly recommend to anyone considering an extension. A great experience from a company that clearly takes pride in their work.

TN are such a great building team that you can trust are going to do a fabulous job and care just as much about your house and the finished product as you do. Tom and his team are a delight to work with and whilst certianly won't be your cheapest quote, they will deliver the best results.

We used TN Design and Build to do everything for our big project (10-month long extension, renovation and re-fit). We used them for initial design ideas, full architecture and planning applications (for both extension and new build options), through to the build and fit out also. We had all sorts of tech fitted from solar panels, batteries, electric car chargers, irrigation system, smart hot water, etc, etc. The team were amazing, very professional, full of great ideas (including how we could save some money in places) and the final finish was superb!

Having experience in new construction and renovations, it was important that I worked with a main contractor with whom I could collaborate. There will be many ups and downs throughout constructing a new property, but having a contractor who can adapt to changing circumstances and work with you to resolve issues is paramount. TN ticked all these boxes, and I would not hesitate to work with them again.

Great company. The process from start to finish was great, and took all the stress out of the build for us.

Tom and his team at TN were excellent throughout our build. From design through planning and ultimately the build, the TN team were professional, responsive, thoughtful and delivered a great end product. Would highly recommend.

We are at the design stage with TN Design & Build. We have been really impressed at how professional and amenable everyone at TN has been. At each stage of the design, everyone we have met; Jenny in the office; Paul the architect; Tom, the owner; Lewis, the Operations Officer; together with all the parties they have put us in touch with, have listened to our needs, and provided us with thoughtful and helpful advice. There has always been a friendly voice at the end of the phone to deal with any query, and we have not been pushed to make any decisions we might not be happy with. All in all, we have had a positive experience.

We are at design stage with TN at present. So far I have to say what great service. Jen in the office has answered all our questions and kept us up to date. Our drawings have catered everything we have asked for and Paul the architect has maximised every inch. It's lovely to see our vision come to life with a little bit Tom's added experience that we never even thought of. Excited for the build now🤗

Paul has been brilliant in helping with designs for our front and rear extension including garage conversion. He was very knowledgeable of the local planning application process and helped with pre-planning and the final planning application. Paul was very patient while we assessed the many options he provided us with for our house layout and answered all of our questions promptly. I would definitely recommend.

TN design and build handled our extension project from architectural design and permit submission/approval, to executing the works perfectly, on time and to a high standard… What I also really appreciated is the fact they kept the site clean and organised throughout! Highly recommended!

I can highly recommend TN design to build/extend your house. The team is working to high standards and is always happy to help/advise. Always on time and trustworthy, you know it can only go well with TN. I got to know the team over the past few months and all I can say is that I will miss them! Such a friendly team. Special thank you to Ollie and Tom for their patience and flexibility. The quality of work is very good and you know you can count on TN to fix anything if needed. Lovely and hard working team! The admin team is very helpful and always available to help. I can only recommend TN!
