Reliable Builders Ltd

Alex & his team worked at our home over a 6-month period from late 2023 to mid-2024. The job involved a rear & side ground floor extension to our Victorian home along with a comprehensive ground floor renovation to create a large open plan kitchen-lounge-dining space, downstairs toilet and hallway. Right from the initial quote I felt Alex’s approach & communication were honest, reasonable and detailed. Costs & payment dates were clearly structured, extras (of which I requested several) were fairly addressed. Nothing was too much trouble and I appreciated the care they took to make sure we as a family could continue to live in the house with minimal invasiveness! I found the work to be of a high quality and am certainly happy to recommend them.

Great from start to finish. It was a relatively small job I’d imagine but he was in constant communication about what was needed and gave us good advice on how to solve ventilation issues. He broke down his quote so we could pick which bits we wanted to do. Then was flexible with us when we found issues along the way. Work completed to a high standard. Also would stay to get things finished in a day rather than leave at 3pm, as other builders we used did. Meant it finished bang on time. Would not use anyone else now. Excellent throughout.

Great quality work and amazing workmanship, the team have done the tiles in my kitchen to a really high standard. I am super happy and can definitely recommend their work to anyone!

Right from the word go Alex and the team have been great! In the early stages, Alex was very helpful in the discussions with the architect. During the building work, the builders were very tidy with their work and it was completed on time within the initial quoted 4 months to a high standard. We had two young children at the time and the kids were excited to get waves and smiles from the builders each morning which made the disruption of building work much easier to manage. We would certainly recommend them to anyone having an extension done

I cannot speak highly enough of Alex and his team. The project undertaken was extensive, a loft conversion, remodelling of the first floor, side extension and underfloor heating installation. Everything was completed to a high standard, within the agreed budget for each part of the project. As with any project of this scale, snags happened. Even months after the work was completed any issue that has arisen has been quickly rectified. I would not hesitate to use their services again.

I’m very happy from my overall experience with Reliable Builders. It helped to receive an itemised quote which tracked as expected as work progressed. Extensive photos from the roof work ‘before, during and completed,’ provided reassurance. All work was completed to a high standard and they offered advice and solutions for damp issues and to hide a problematic internal water meter. The team are polite, clean & tidy and clearly made progress each day. I have recommended Reliable Builders to neighbours & friends & will be contacting them again in future for other building work. Thanks guys

Can’t rate Reliable Builders any higher. Put simply they did what they say they would do, to a high standard, and with great care for our house and our family. We had an extension to expand our kitchen and dining room and add a utility and downstairs bathroom. Alex quoted us a really good price, started quickly, and worked with us throughout to make the new rooms amazing. Even our neighbours have been round to compliment the quality of the extension and in particular the brickwork. Can’t thank Alex and his team enough and they are top of the list for any future work we need. Photos taken at various points close to completion

We had a ground floor reconfiguration and small extension done and the team were great. Really hard working, on schedule and delivered to a high standard. They were also really flexible with extras and fitted loads more in for us. Nothing was left unfinished. Friendly, tidy and great comms. Really happy with the results. Would definitely recommend

The work was carried out to a high standard and on schedule. Communication was always excellent and they were punctual, tidy and polite when on site. I’m very pleased with the work and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Reliable Builders.

Alex and his team were a pleasure to work with. They were responsive and had a can do attitude and I am very happy with the quality of the work. House refurb including kitchen, bathroom, front and back doors (which they made bespoke from hardwood) and patio. Many thanks!

Reliable Builders have recently completed a full refurbishment of our property near Wilmslow. Their works included a new roof, replacement of all windows, double storey and single storey extension, rendering externally and plastering internally the whole house. We were very pleased with all the workmanship. Alex and his team are extremely knowledgeable of all trades and were always punctual and hardworking. We would have no hesitation in recommending Reliable Builders.

Alex and team did a re-roof and improvements to loft room for us. They were on time, polite and helpful with great communication. Will definitely use again for future projects.

Alex and his team were truly Reliable. They were so hard working and polite. I felt great care was taken with the structural elements and dealing with Building Control. Nothing was too much trouble and the work , a conservatory replaced with an extension, was completed quickly. They left everything so neat and tidy. Everyone comments on how the new building looks as if it has always been part of the house. I shall be getting them back to do some other jobs I need doing..wouldn't really want anyone else. Highly recommend them.

Really pleased with the work carried out . The team worked hard from 8am - 5pm and Alex kept us upto date with the works progress. Very clean and tidy , clearing up at the end of each day. Would highly recommend for all works .

Alex and his team came and finished our kitchen reconfiguration. They were fast, friendly, trustworthy and really tidy. They left the garden tidier than it was when they started! Alex is a very skilled project manager so if you want to hand the reigns over and not worry again then this is the company for you. There isn't a single thing we are not pleased about and won't look anywhere else for renovations again. Thankyou so much Alex and team!

First class and no nonsense.

Alex and the guys performed structural repairs to our side wall to rectify issues found by a structural survey. Work included: - installing restraining straps - installing heli bars - repointing In the lead up to the work the communication from Alex was excellent (something we have found to be a rarity when dealing with other builders). Whilst doing the work he kept us fully informed of the work being carried out and the work itself was too a high standard. A pleasure to do business with and I would highly recommend.

Alex and the team carried out all the structural works to our new kitchen diner (knock down wall to fit box frame, open up picture window and replace an old beam) as well as fitting the new kitchen, new radiators and lowering outside ground to solve damp issue. The work was carried out to a high standard and on schedule. Communication was always excellent and they were punctual, tidy and polite when on site. We are very pleased with the work and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Reliable Builders.

Hard working, kept the place tidy and completed the job in good time. Alex was very good at keeping me updated and answering any queries. Would highly recommend Alex and his team.

Well, if Carlsberg did building companies.... I was left totally in the lurch by a bunch of cowboy builders during the pandemic who took my money and ran. At the time it was virtually impossible to get hold of plaster, which was vital in our project progressing and was proving to be more rare than unicorn doodoo. Alex have me a start date to plaster the whole house and he stuck to this (actually starting one day early!). Through his connections in the trade, he managed to somehow source the 30 bags needed for the house. His team turned up at 8.30 every morning and worked tirelessly until around 5pm and they did this 6 days a week. The plastering work is the best I've seen and even got a big thumbs up from a close friend of mine who used to be a plasterer. His guys also ended up providing cost effective corrections to many of the things that my previous dodgy builders had done which helped up enormously to get signed off by building control. All the works were done to the timescales agreed from the outset. I've subsequently asked Alex for his team to undertake additional works on my property which are currently under way. The Reliable Builders: they do exactly what they say on the tin! Highly recommended.

Completely left me in the lurch. Work was agreed, as were dates, time and cost. When I ask for the contract I got no reply to my phone calls, texts and emails. A simple callback was all that I needed where we could have rearranged dates but I got nothing. Other then available builders were no longer available. Extremely Un-Reliable!

Alex and his team have done an incredible job with a keen attention to detail and have delivered a high quality finish. We have had a single storey extension, new utility and kitchen done, with some challenging structural work. Alex networked well with our architect and sourced a very professional engineer who tweeked our plans. He coordinated a team of builders who are professional, timely and hardworking. No gimmicks, or builders jargon about what stuff cost , just upfront honesty. The team was also acutely aware of the disruptive impact of the build on neighbours and ourselves and mitigated against that through resourcefulness. Alex is a problem solver which is what you want if you are busy with no time to micromanage. The big plus is that everying is done inhouse from structural work to electrics and plumbing. I cant speak more highly of reliable builders, we had to wait a few months for their availability but it was well worth it! Thanks

Reliable Builders live up to their name! Alex and Val fitted our kitchen in Hale and were an absolute pleasure to deal with. They are some of the most hardworking tradesmen we have worked with and their attention to detail was excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending them and hope to work with them again on future projects.
