Burmor Construction Limited has been criticised by several reviewers over road closures and disruption to local communities, with complaints about a lack of consultation and closures running longer than expected in Oakham, Pinchbeck and Welland Way. One reviewer living in a house the firm built described poor design, bad walls and floors, and badly set-up heating, saying the work was done to a bare minimum of quality. Another reviewer said a sewer and gas pipe connection at Pinchbeck was still not completed after 12 weeks. On the positive side, one reviewer reported a lovely job at Crowland with great communication and road closures as per schedule, and another described friendly staff and great hospitality.
A complete and utter joke. 12 weeks at pinchbeck and still not completed..a sewer and gas pipe connection. Yet a city in japan had a 30m by 15m deep sink hole repaired in ONE WEEK. Including repairing collapsed sewer, electric and communications wires. Clearly you have no idea what you are doing. DISGRACEFULL company.
Currently living in a house they built. Bad design. Clearly cut so many corners. The walls are bad. No thought given to anyone who might actually live here. The floors are terrible. The heating is beyond poorly set up and installed. Everything about this house is done to a bare minimum of quality. They should be denied any future planning permission to build more houses as they clearly have zero quality checks or oversight.
As per previous reviews this company seems to love causing chaos by closing off busy roads for weeks on end with no regard to local residents and the damage caused to local roads as people try to avoid the closure. Certainly very unpopular with all the local residents in Pinchbeck, Lincs.
Lovely job at Crowland, great communication with my aunty and road closures as per schedule.
No consultation with local residents regarding a complex road closure in Oakham. Correct procedure not followed, with RCC and Burmor between them riding roughshod over the local community. They claim to liaise positively with local residents but this is not the case. Building with Integrity? They need to change their motto.
Local development carried out without ANY consideration for impact on local communities. 5 month road closure for 40 houses? Absolute shambles from the start
This company is responsible for closing the the main thoroughfare from Welland way to town. This was originally going to be for a couple of months, but they have now extended it for three more months with no consultation and no care. This company is self centred with no care for the local community. If you have them near you do not expect them to act on the interest of the greater good. They act in the interests of themselves!!!!
Not helping the pedestrians of Oakham with the closure of Brooke Road crossing.
