Following a burst pipe which brought down part of our kitchen ceiling, Stellar was appointed to restore the ceiling and decoration. Without exception the team of Chris and Stuart the joiners, John the electrician, Owen the plasterer and Ian the decorator were very pleasant and professional. The work was completed to a high standard under the supervision of Wullie Burley. The whole experience was made easier because Wullie kept us informed at every stage and visited regularly to check on progress. We are very happy with the end result!

A total SHAMBLES/NIGHTMARE from the start. This so called firm had start date 8 December 2025 and a finish date 16 December 2025 to fit two kitchen carcasses two worktops and a new floor after a flood at my small kitchen. The work was put on hold on the 9 December due to part of the floor required to be renewed.due to damp.They told me that due to pre schedule work to the tradesmen and the Xmas holiday period they could not return to put in the new flooring until the 29 December 2025. They had placed my washing machine,cooker and hob in the middle of my living room leaving me with no cooking or washing facilities. I am 67yrs old and have chronic heart.disease and limited mobility I also have type 2 diabetes. I was looking forward to see my 4 grandchildren over the Xmas period as usual but was unable to due to my house being uninhabitable. My insurance put me up in a hotel over the Xmas and new year period which I hated. They told me work would start on 5 January 2026. And be finished on the 16 January 2026.I returned home at last but there was still extra work to be done. I requested a chevron style foot to be fitted and had to pay an extra £430 for this to be done. this is now 2 APRIL 2026 and the floor is still not finished it has prominent gaps all over. The joiner who fitted the floor told me he had never fitted a style like this. The gaps have been filled in with cheap putty but have cracked and fallen out their Forman Davy was out and photos on numerous occasions. I was advised that putting in the filler would be the best and easiest way instead of replacing the floor yes it would be cheaper for Stellar. They tried a few different fillers but the colour didn’t match the wooden floor. I also have to mention that due to pulling out and pushing back in several times the dishwasher and washing machines are now leaking. I could go on but what’s the point STELLAR should prioritise there customers needs due to age and health there is no empathy with this company. I hope this gives them a massive wake up call. I would also demand that the £430 I paid. Extra for the floor should be reimbursed. A VERY DISSATISFIED AND ANGRY OAP

The shedule of work was followed closely and finnish was to a very high standard.All of the tradesmen put in full shifts and on time. The project was signed off on time to a very high standard. The only negative is Stellar company policy that any changes to original fittings is £100 plus labour plus vat.

Stellar were brought in by our insurance company following flood damage to our home. Once the work was planned and started they worked to a clear programme with dates detailing who and what works were being done on each date. They removed everything affected by water damage and provided equipment to dry out the building. Stellar were contracted by our insurance after we had significant water damage to our house. Scott Fleming and his team were amazing. We had great communication and support throughout. The process was made smoother by the team at Stellar and we will always be grateful!

Utter shambles. Made false claims on our insurance for works not completed. Standard of works done were at least 50% less than original. Definitely not like for like as per policy. Carried out the minimum of work for maximum claim. Disgusted with this firm. Didn't even remove fire debris from the site or clean the property yet charged for it. Within weeks of sign off things started to deteriorate rapidly, a clear an indication of the sub standard workmanship.

Issue with house built by LOVELL, garage roof pitch not correct and leaking into garage. This company came along and fixed the problem. The workman who turned up was outstanding. Not only professional but super friendly. He sang his was through the 80s!!! He said he was the oldest one there 😂😂. Stellar were appointed by my insurers following a leak from my upstairs neighbour which required wallpaper to be stripped, plaster removed, a new section of cornice to be run off, repapering and painting. Apart from an issue ovee the amount of paper required everything went very smoothly. The project manager was Wullie Burley who could not have been more attentive and helpful as well as being a pleasure to deal with.

The original insurance claim from the first storm this year was a wee bit slow and dormant. Very happy with the work carried out on our kitchen. The job was well managed throughout and finished to a high degree. All trades turned up on time, we’re neat and tidy, as well as courteous. Would highly recommend for anyone requiring insurance work to be done on their house.

Absolute shambles. No communication they were coming, no formal introduction or identification, did work that likely broke H&S laws, did a poor temporary job not even covering exposed area fully, and then tried to take away lead flat roofing from garden (that fire brigade removed so was legally mine, and that I intended to sell to help pay for excess). Ended in a stand off and then eventually putting the lead back. Cowboys. And when I phoned the office they were super defensive and not understanding. Last thing I need after going through storm damage.

It’s been a long journey; storm damage for the second year running and months of waiting for the insurance to sort things out. Once this team got their orders it was all hands to the pump! Working weekends so things went to schedule, giving some great advice about some of our choices and what might work best with our rooms sizes etc, and especially helping make the right decisions about preparing the rooms for the work and defending against future damage. Yes, there were a couple of bumps along the way, but it’s a huge credit to the team, and especially the foreman/gaffer, that everything was resolved quickly and professionally. The workmen were all top notch, the speed and quality of work was Stellar (pun intended)! If I have one gripe? It’s with the ‘back office’. It took ages to get responses before the work started. I get it was a busy time for people in the business, but even a courtesy, “we’ll get back to you” would have done. That being said, our home’s a home again, everyone comments on how great it looks throughout, and we’re both really happy with all the work. Highly recommend them!

After a devastating 6 months without ceilings, carpets and in need of repair.....along came Stellar! Perhaps a little apprehensive at first, the feelings changed greatly, fronted by Project Manager Scott Fleming. Scott and his team managed and used their skills to the max. From electrician, Ryan and joiner Kevin - great work! Followed by a week of plastering and again great work prepared us for the painters. I was driving through a street today where one of your employees was blocking the road by parking opposite a parked car. We asked him if he could move so we and others could get passed as its a small road. He got aggressive and refused to move. The license plate was RJ72 JBE. This happened in Dundee.

Stellar by name, stellar by nature! I am writing to express my sincere gratitude to the Stellar team who restored my house to an incredibly high standard following a leaking toilet cistern. The slow leak ruined the floor, subfloor and the joining stud walls in the bathroom, the adjacent bedroom, and through main hallway. The extent of the subfloor water damage was so severe that as well as the bathroom needing to be gutted and replaced all of our downstairs flooring needed to be pulled up and replaced also. The work required was far more involved than the insurance company had anticipated, meaning more trades and longer times. However, with the reparation and decoration our house is now somewhere between a show home and a 4 star hotel. Thank you! All of the team were incredibly skilled at their individual trades. Without exception, they were all very personable and their finished work is to an amazing standard. They covered everything with drop cloths and they were always mindful of not damaging anything. Bulky items were put in storage and were returned by professional movers. * They were very tidy and they cleaned up after themselves every day. They even swept and mopped the floors when they were finished. I am very happy with the work that Wullie's team. They are a great team of professionals who are great ambassadors for your company. Stellar were appointed by my insurance provider to carry out reinstatement work following a burst pipe which caused significant damage to my home over multiple floors. Very professional service from start to finish and really pleased with the end results. Following a serious fire in my sister-in-law's house six months ago we were very fortunate and grateful that Sedgwick underwriters used C.Hanlon contractors to restore the house. My insurers contracted Hanlons to repair fire damage to my property and what a fantastic job they did. Scott Frame was our project manager who managed to quickly source various materials from several companies which we previously tried ourselves without success. This made a huge difference to the job being completed fairly prompt. The two tradesmen who carried out the repairs from start to finish were so professional, polite and courteous. After damage from a stack pipe in my apartment I used C Hanlon’s to carry out the repair works. From start to finish Wullie Burley kept in contact regarding all aspects of the job. I was extremely pleased with all works that were carried out! With every job there are a few snags here and there, but all was sorted out promptly and efficiently. The only piece of advice I would give anyone looking at paint colours, please go and look at these in person, buy a tester pot and make sure it is the right colour before confirming your choice. The Leyland paint chart doesn’t show a true reflection of the colour… it’s nobody’s fault, but felt it should have be highlighted to the me when I first received the chart. Still 5/5 even with this little hiccup! Thank you Wullie Burley!

I am really grateful to everyone at C Hanlon and Robert McCalden construction for the repairs they did to my house after a once in 200 year downpour caused stormwater damage. C Hanlon did a very tidy strip out of the floor. They were careful in removing kitchen units for later refit, especially they did well removing the stone worktops without breaking them as that looked quite a tricky thing to do. C Hanlon arranged for Robert McCalden contruction to do the refit and their work looks great, like new. Project Manager Wullie Burley was easy to get in contact with and was nice, friendly & cheerful which helps when faced with a worrying calamity.

Company appointed by insurers to refit my 85 year old mother's kitchen after flooding. Couldnt have asked for more - friendly and efficient. Wullie Burly & his team were sensitive to impact of works on an old lady, and kept in touch during an enforced delay not of their own making, enquiring after mum and pulling out all stops to get job finished to get her back home. She was very much a person, not a job number & Wullie kept in touch remotely with us (being elsewhere) with pictures of progress. And the kitchen is fabulous!

I had a house fire and hanlon insurance contractors were brought in by my insurance company. They were brilliant. Nothing was a problem and always there to answer any questions. The builders were SMW contract Ltd. And they done a great job. Again nothing was a hassle. The work was amazing. Would highly recommend.

Because of a leak my insurance company via MA Assist contracted C Hanlon to undertake insurance works to our kitchen. They force you to use Howdens and as a customer we should have the right to choose a company. Communication between the Project Manager and myself could have been better. No transparency on actual costs for extras items for kitchen. The joiners done an excellent job fitting our kitchen but I was disappointed at Howdens as they measured up our kitchen wrong and required some minor works, so not impressed. With a disabled person in the house with asthma I was left unimpressed at the level of saw dust that I had to clean up. They use 3rd party contractors for electrics and pluming, which i was not keen on and the plumber bent our new sink and after some debate with Hanlons they sent out there plumber to rectify the issue. The guy who laid the floor done an excellent job, however they were booked to come on a Monday and I understand he did not get the job until 5pm that evening, so was not impressed with Hanlons as I had to wait in all day. The painter done an excellent job. On reflection there was so many negatives with this company and if we had to choose a company to undertaken works again I would ask my insurers to look at other firms.

We made acquaintance with Wullie Burley & his team at C Hanlon through unfortunate circumstances. Due to a flood my new kitchen had to be ripped out right down and including the floor. I only had one ask, that my kitchen be restored to its exactly it’s former glory. Wullie and his team were friendly, helpful and accommodated our specific requests. My kitchen is now exactly as it was before our little disaster. I love it and wouldn’t change a thing. Wullie was right on it when our worktop was discontinued, he found a source to replace it. We had a leaking roof and ceiling damage in the bedroom. When work commeneced we were given a full work schedule which was set to dates that suited our working pattern. There was lots of communication from Wullie beforehand and work was completed ahead of schedule to a high standard by all tradesmen. Wee extras were not a problem and site was always left neat and tidy. It was like a new room by the time the work was finished. We were delighted!

I had a really bad leak and damage to my kitchen during pandemic and C Hanlon were the primary contractor assigned to install new kitchen. Prior to work commencing , we received a full detailed plan of works with a definitive timeline. C Hanlon Insurance Contractors were appointed by my Dad's Insurance Company to carry out repair works after he had a flash flood to the basement of his property. Coming from a Claims background myself I have to say that I was totally blown away by how competent and caring they were, nothing was too much trouble for them and they kept me up-to-date on every aspect of what they were doing they went above and beyond to ensure that my 86 year old Dad was not inconvenienced in any way during the works, they were caring and kind in explaining what they were doing they even installed a key safe to enable the contractors to enter the basement of the property without disturbing my Dad. Great job and good craic. Liked all the guys that came to work in the house. Wullie was always trying to help, always available, and good fun, and went above and beyond.
