Stonebarrow I would 100% recommend the company Stonebarrow. They are truly five-star ⭐ They replaced our large polycarbonate conservatory roof with a Supalite insulated roof system. We are delighted with it! The difference is incredible. It’s now a proper room and usable all year round. From start to finish, the whole team was exceptional. Olly listened to our requirements and exceeded our expectations. He was extremely professional, keeping us informed throughout the whole process. The team of Vaughan, Scott, and Stuart were extremely hard-working and perfectionists, a pleasure to have in our home. They fine-tuned everything, including the doors and windows not even installed by them. They consulted and advised with us regarding the placement of the spotlights, which look fantastic. Jason, the plasterer, left us with a wonderfully smooth plastered ceiling. With lovely contours where the sharp angles used to be. Stonebarrow Home Improvements were recommended to us by Superlite, as being their installer for our area. From our first contact with the company to the latest, all has been very easy and clear. Olly came and visited initially, at which point he took the time to listen to what we wanted to achieve and why, he then outlined how it was that he thought the Superlite solution would indeed achieve our aims. This was not a sales pitch, simply him taking time to explain and answer our questions accordingly. The first visit ended with him agreeing to supply a quotation based on his site visited. Our conservatory is large, it was roofed in old style PVC panels, we were paying in effect to heat the outside air, and not able to use the room for quite a period of time during the winter months. The quote duly arrived enabling us to compare it with others we had sourced. having made our decision we contacted Stonebarrow again and very soon stuart came out to do a second site survey and further discuss our vision. Once our intent to proceed was confirmed by us, the roof was ordered and dates set for installation. Throughout this very short period the communication was great, with regular updates being issued. On the appointed day Vaughan and Scott turned up, and in very short shrift we had struck up a good rapport with them, the old roof coming off swiftly and with out fuss, the new roof arriving on day one direct from, Superlite. By close of play day one we were at least waterproof. The rest of build went really well, there was a slight issue beyond either Stone barrow's or Superlite's direct control, but that was handled with great professionalism by all concerned. Just 6 working days after starting our roof has been completed including the plastering inside and the electrics that needed doing. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending Stonebarrow as a good company to engage with to get a job done - good customer understanding, great desire to achieve what was envisioned, polite and effective folks on site. Lovely to have worked with.

This company is absolutely amazing. Not only were they courteous and professional throughout the build but they also went to huge lengths to make sure we got everything we wanted in our extension. The personal attention extends to incredible aftercare and when we recently ran into a problem with a window several years after the build they liaised with the manufacturer and replaced for free. Incredible service, lovely to deal with and beautiful results. Can’t thank them enough for our lovely addition and top service three years after installation!

From start to finish, Olly and ALL HIS staff, did a really great job. Olly, like his staff, were warm and friendly and very knowledgeable. My job was Completed in record time to try and avoid the ever threatening downpours and all I had to do was provide them with an endless supply of coffee. The clean up and rubbish removals guy was promised for the next day. He arrived as promised, did a really great job, and left the place clean and tidy. Respect to Olly and his team. Stonebarrow have recently completed an extension for us and we've been really pleased from start to finish. They've been very helpful and patient with all of our questions and changes we've made and communication has been excellent throughout the project. Replacing the roof of my conservatory with the super lite system has made such a huge difference. On a hot day like today (July 2025) instead of 40+C a comfortable 25C! Everyone that I have dealt with from Stonebarrow have been lovely guys. Nothing too much trouble. I was given a date in April for the work to start and promptly the started and finished. No delays, everything to time. I now have a garden room that I can use all year. I can strongly recommend this system and Stonebarrow. Very happy customer.

The best company ever. They are very professional and their work is just outstanding. Our conservatory now looks like an extension. Olly is also very good at communicating so whenever I had questions he always answered promptly. They also came 2 hours away to do the job everyday , worked non stop and drove back 2 hours. Had our conservatory roof replaced and some windows replaced with panels about 2 weeks ago. We can tell the difference already the conservatory stays at nice temperature now.From first contact with Stonebarrow to the end of project had been a pleasant experience Olly is a super guy brilliant to deal with always cheerful kept us informed at every stage .Stuart and Vaughan the guys who did the work are just as good worked really hard each day .We can't thank them all enough .We would easily recommend them to friends and family and we would definitely use them again.

The lantern window and surrounding roof area of our orangery was in very poor condition, certainly not draft proof but also subject to water ingress under certain conditions. On the recommendation of a neighbour we approached Stonebarrow, but also along with one other company. From the outset we developed an instinctive feeling of comfort with those at Stonebarrow with whom we discussed our needs and objectives, and felt confident and reassured enough to go for installation of a "hipped lean to Supalite Insulated roof". We also elected to have replacement upvc windows installed, After a two or three month lead-in time, materials were delivered and work started exactly as scheduled. For each of ten days the three-man team of installers travelled from the Bournemouth area to South Gloucestershire, followed on the final day by the plastering team. It`s been evident from the outset that we were being extended exceptional care, both by "management" who kept in touch with us, and the skilled installers all of whom took pride in their work and tidiness. It was pleasure to have them on site. Already, two days after completion we feel the benefit, and the undertakings / assurances that we followed have proved themselves. There were no "hidden extras" and the final settlement figure was exactly as agreed.

Stuart and Vaughan from Stonebarrow replaced our conservatory roof this week changing old polycarbonate plastic roofing to white insulated panels. These panels have a white metal exterior and interior. My wife and I were very impressed with how they set about and finished the work on a what turned out to be a cold and wet day with some snow. Their workmanship was excellent and the finished product exceeded our expectations. Their cleanup following the fit was exemplary. A great job done by a dream team!

My wife and I are incredibly happy with our SuperLite roof fitted by the team at Stonebarrow. They helped transform a 20+ year old polycarbonate roof into a modern, insulated, beautiful and energy efficient, useable space. The old roof leaked heat within minutes, and a light drizzle sounded like a tsunami had arrived at the south coast!. Several fan heaters and oil filled radiators during winter, then immediately into multiple cooling fans for the summer… all Gone. Done. The End. Fini! Less energy resource consumed and lower bills. The Stonebarrow team guided us through every step, offered useful advice around options and what would be best. The new roof is far more than just a replacement, the insulation is a god send for energy bills, the sound of even heavy rain is no longer deafening. Modern materials, great craftsmanship and fantastic process from start to finish. Excellent product, excellent company, excellent work, brilliant communication at all times. Cheerfully got the job done despite heavy rain showers when the old roof had come off (app said “no rain today”), and managed to keep working around lots of other renovation work by different companies onsite, even finished earlier than planned, and all rubbish removed from site the next day. Good price too!

We had an insulated roof fitted to our conservatory by Stonebarrow in early September 2023. From the moment of first contact our assessment, estimates and work were handled in a thoroughly competent and efficient manner. The staff - manager, surveyor and workmen were both courteous and efficient and a pleasure to have around. At all times we were kept informed of how and when the various stages of the assessment and installation would occur. When initial installation date was offered and proved to coincide with a booked holiday, they went to great lengths to accommodate us and offered an earlier date.The work itself proceeded without fuss - the glass roof was removed and cleared immediately from the site and the rest of the installation proceeded as advised. A year later, we have experienced the "new space" through all the seasons - on the hottest summer days and coldest winter days it was a comfortable place to be, temperatures seldom varying very much from that of the house in general. It is now an all year round very useable room rather than suffering from the extremes as before. Thanks to the staff of Stonebarrow for their great work. Our only regret - we didn't do it sooner!

The Stonebarrow team have been brilliant from start to finish in handling our small but slightly complicated project, due to the property being listed. Communication has been excellent and they went above and beyond in handling the planning submission despite some challenges along the way. Once planning consent was secured work started quickly and was completed to a very high standard by a friendly team of builders with minimal mess and fuss. We are very pleased with the final result and cannot recommend Stonebarrow highly enough.

We have recently had an aging (and leaking) conservatory roof replaced by Stonebarrow, with a modern, lightweight roof with spotlights fitted, to an impeccably high standard. In fact, impeccable is the right word to describe all our interactions with Stonebarrow. Our initial contact with Olly was a blend of professional and reassuring, as my family had been left in a very challenging situation whereby, we needed works completing as a matter of urgency and were struggling to find contactors that were able to complete the works. From the first phone call, Olly outlined how the company would complete the works, providing a realistic budget and timeline, and overall provided the exact level of service and support we needed. He then agreed a quick start date with works beginning on time and promptly. The team of four were outstanding and incredibly friendly, really exemplifying the positive service we had already received. They also worked professionally, keeping our home clean and tidy whilst they removed and replaced our roof within three days. In fact, the turnaround time of one week was adhered to, with only some plastering to be completed. Overall, I could not be happier with the work that has been completed and would not hesitate to recommend Stonebarrow to anybody looking for any home renovation or extension work. Wow from start of quote to works starting, being completed, commuication from Olli, the owner Steve & his team i cannot tell you how good these guys are & i have had a lot of work done on my property over the years, every trade & i cannot tell you how good this company is,if only all of them were the same life would of been much easier, you will not go wrong using Stonebarrow 10 out of 10 does not give them a high enough rating.

Just had a 9.5kW solar system installed & very happy with it. Even had my first "off grid" day already! Olly provided a comprehensive quote with all items costed, expected generation & payback unlike some suppliers who only send this after you have paid a deposit. He then kept me fully informed on expected installation dates. Stuart oversaw the project & promptly rectified a minor data glitch. Vaughan, Ben & Paul installed the system in 3 days, were polite & punctual & left the work areas clean at the end of each day. Thanks guys - happy to recommend you!

Although the conservatory roof itself looks great and was installed by polite professionals from the sales person to the team who fitted it, I have to say we are ultimately disappointed by the end result. We now have an internal leak where the roof meets the house which we never had before a Stonebarrow replacement roof was added. This leak appeared days after the roof was put up when we first had heavy rain. When I let Stonebarrow know, they sent someone to check, then ultimately said their work was done properly and it might be the pointing on our house. We dutifully paid £1800 to have this fixed thinking it would resolve things. Long story short it didn’t and we are in the process now of having to get roofers to come and try to resolve. Can I say for sure Stonebarrow did something that has caused the leak? No, I can’t. It could of course be a coincidence that days after they took the old roof off and replaced it, we had a problem. It could, of course be absolutely nothing to do with them as they were at pains to make clear. All I know is that before they came, we had no leak. Since having them work on our house we have an ongoing problem and have already had to pay a significant amount to fix it. So would we use them again, or recommend them? Unfortunately not. Can I prove their workmanship, materials or method caused the leak? No. Am I satisfied customer? Quite clearly also unfortunately not. Edited: I’m not sure what you feel is unfair in my review.I simply stated the facts which is not something you can find fair or unfair. You contacted me in response to this review, I had hoped to try to rectify. You sent a very nice chap round who had a look yesterday but could not see anything clearly wrong although mentioned our window gaps (!). I was then contacted to ask what I was going to do about my review. I said I would speak to my husband. Not even 24 hours later I was messaged again to ask what I was going to do about the review. I very politely I feel, explained that I could not change the review other than to say someone came round as until it rains we cannot know whether it has been successful. This was clearly not the response you wanted. I am sorry that you are not happy to have a negative review but that is business. I was at great pains to say I could not definitely point the finger at Stonebarrow simply that I had no leak until you changed our conservatory roof. It is up to prospective customers what they make of that. It is a fact whether you like it or not I’m afraid. Could it be our 100+ year old house, yes of course, but it is still true there was no leak ever with the old glass roof. I did not appreciate being what I felt was bulldozed to change my review. I left an honest, fair account of what happened. When you are spending £14000 plus you have certain expectations of the end result. And you didn’t hear back from me for two reasons - we did not have such significant rain so as to notice the problem but mainly because I felt patronised and dismissed when I spoke to the manager/owner I think it was, when we had the original problem and had no desire to repeat the experience. Should we have any further issues we will contact a local roofing company so shall not be updating you further. And while I am sure we have gaps around our window I find it highly unlikely that will be the cause although I appreciate you drawing attention to it. Having spent £1800 fixing the rendering it was implied by yourselves could be the issue, we’ll hold fire on spending any more money until, if the problem continues, we’ve had a different roofing company look at.

We had a supalite roof installed to replace a glazed roof over our kitchen and conservatory 5 years ago by this company and we've not looked back. It's changed how we use the entire downstairs of our house. They did a great job and there have been no issues at all in the 5 years we've had it. I have recommended them to family and friends as we were so pleased with the service and the end result.

We had our small garage converted into a utility room and we couldn’t be more pleased. We have used Stonebarrow before (they built a beautiful conservatory) and once again, we weren’t disappointed! All workmen turned up on time, were very professional and did a wonderful job. The completion was slightly delayed due to the bad weather but we were kept fully informed by the office. Replacement of old conservatory roof. We had an old poly roofed conservatory, about 15 years old. Got a few quotes but Stonebarrow were head and shoulders above the others. Olly was our first contact with them and was a refreshing difference to some very pushy salespeople already encountered. Quote was realistic, competitive , and fully explained by Olly. Installation dates, process time and installers names ( Ben and Vaughan) were advised up front. The Supalite roofing system which we ordered may well arrive in 'kit format' however any on site adjustments or improvements were explained and completed efficiently. Our thanks to Stuart, Olly, Ben and Vaughan at Stonebarrow and James and Howard who finished off the plasterwork to the ceiling. This is a firm and people you can trust to deliver.

Stonebarrow completed two projects for me at the end of January this year, Solar PV and conservatory roof replacement with a solid roof. I thought I would wait a while before reviewing to make sure there were no snags. Both projects were competitively priced for the quality products quoted for and I was happy for them to go ahead. I couldn't be happier with the conservatory roof conversion which was completed ahead of schedule by friendly competent professionals. We really noticed a difference in the increase in warmth in the room with only half of the insulation installed and since it has been completed we have found ourselves using the room on a daily basis, something we rarely did before. The solar pv install was completed also in a timely manner and we are experiencing free power for about 8 hours a day I would estimate we are saving about a third off our electric bill. All in all I couldn't recommend Stonebarrow more for your home improvement project.

We are absolutely delighted with our new insulated conservatory roof fitted in just 1½ by the StoneBarrow installation team. Already the temperature seems more regulated and we look forward to using it more during the more extreme summer and winter months. Wow. We have just had our glass conservatory roof replaced with the supalite system by Stonebarrow. Superb product and service right from initial enquiry to final completion. All the employees we dealt with were helpful and friendly as well as being so professional. From Ollie who liased with us all through the process, too the boss himself who came to see us to discuss our plans, too Dave and Ben the fitters and last but not least Ben the plasterer. And what a smashing job. We already notice how warmer the conservatory is and stays, thanks to the superb insulation built into the roof. Plus insurance backed warranties. We didn't have to worry about a thing as they took care of the whole process including electrics, building inspector and plastering. The only thing left for us to do is a lick of paint. Can't recommend highly enough.

Review Having suffered all the extremes regarding our fully glazed conservatory for several years we decided recently to replace the polycarbonate roof with a lightweight tiled and insulated roofing system being the best way forward therefore after contacting Supalite directly Stonebarrow Ltd came forward being one of their approved installers which in turn proved a really pleasurable and informative pleasure dealing with Olly during the initial home visit that was conducted with professionalism throughout therefore having no hesitation agreeing the work with Stonebarrow Ltd. We are now delighted confirming that our new Supalite roof has been installed to a very high standard with special mention going to Dave and Ben who worked tirelessly and couldn’t be faulted during the recent energy sapping heatwave and are a real credit to the company. From start to finish I cannot recommend Stonebarrow Ltd highly enough being the best company I have ever had dealings with to date.

Very happy with our SupaLite insulated conservatory roof. It has completely transformed the space, we now have a year round useable living space. Stonebarrow have been excellent from start to finish. We had a number hiccups along the way (wrong parts from supalite and rain) but these were handled promptly and professionally with superb communication from Olly throughout. Credit to the roofers, Dave and Ben, who cracked on without complaint despite the extreme heat! With an HICS insurance backed guarantee to protect our staged deposits we were satisfied that if any issues arose we would have peace of mind. The whole experience was almost seamless. Fitting took place with 3 professional and respectful employees of the company travelled down to our home in Cornwall and the work was all done in one day. Exceptionally good quality-beating the local companies on price, even though 200 miles away! We were extremely delighted when this company agreed to replace our polycarbonate roof with Supalite warm roof system with pelmets; because we are in Nottingham, 200 miles away from their base in Bounmouth. Further more their price was less than the local companies. Oliver who was project manager was very professional, friendly and kept us informed all the way until the job was completed. We are very pleased with our new Supalite roof. From the start, a home visit by Olly, technical survey by Stuart to the finish (Building Inspector) we have been very impressed with the Stonebarrow team. The fitters, Dave and Ben, were great, and the plasterer Calvin did a very good job. All were tidy and all rubbish removed. We are so glad to NOT have a glass roof now it is such hot weather! We thoroughly recommend the Stonebarrow team.

Stonebarrow recently installed a Supalite conservatory roof for me in London. The process from beginning to end was painless. Quick quote remotely, followed up by a site-visit/survey and a firm fixed price. Installation took just 4 days, plus a final day for plastering. The care taken by each of the teams has meant that the final finish is excellent. The end result is that we now have a useable additional room to the house that is significantly quieter, much warmer in the cold and not a sauna when the sun shines.

We had our conservatory roof replaced last week. Stonebarrow completed the work and they couldn't have been more professional, without doubt the nicest guys we've had in to do work. Oliver, the business development manager came and showed us the roof makeup, gave us a quote with no obligation and was so nice all through the process. He phoned regularly to check things were going well and all the guys that came were friendly, on time, made no mess, tidied up after themselves and were in and out within days. I can't recommend them highly enough. It's made a massive difference to the room, it's not freezing in there anymore and the same temperature as the house! Give them a look up if you're thinking of having your roof replaced, it's not the cheapest but definitely worth the money.

Amazing transformation from old glass conservatory roof to stunning new tiled roof, extremely helpful, friendly, professional workmen. Stonebarrow have provided us with a fantastic upgrade on our old conservatory. They have installed a new frame and solid roof on a previous conservatory. It is now an integral part of the main house. The consultancy, construction and service has been excellent and we now have a wonderful ‘garden room’. I would have no hesitation in recommending the team at Stonebarrow, they were brilliant from start to finish.

Having an extension built is daunting enough but this company had the challenge of building our extension in the middle of a pandemic lockdown! Despite the challenges that this presented, including delays to supplies and maintaining social distancing, these guys continued to turn up at 8am on the dot and kept the momentum going when they could! I was very happy with the pace and dedication applied to the project. Any building work comes with some disruption yet they were always friendly and happy to answer questions or concerns. There were times when I had to ask them to change their plans due to various reasons and it was not a problem and they turned up promptly or re-adjusted their planning to ensure that myself and my neighbours were happy. We are more than happy with the quality of the work and they even redid some elements of it so that they were satisfied that the build met a certain standard. The various professionals that they brought into to do electrics, plastering, screening etc all completed their tasks to a high standard and were very friendly and respectful. I was able to contact the company with any questions and no question was a silly one. The pandemic sometimes caused timelines to be changed or delayed at the last minute which could be frustrating but they were proactive in keeping me updated or responded to my concerns immediately, even if they were not able to provide any certainties due to supply issues or external contractors but they were always completely honest and reassured me that matters were in hand. When information was available, it was always readily provided. Despite the delays caused by the pandemic, we are delighted with the finished extension and can only imagine how much more impressed we would be with their service, if they did not have the pandemic to contend with!! We would wholeheartedly recommend Stonebarrow Ltd for any future building projects as we have found the experience of having work carried out by them to be a great experience!

Stonebarrow we’re excellent from start to finish. Our conservatory has been transformed and the finish inside and out is perfect. I left it a couple of months before writing this review and since the work was completed we have had biblical rain storms and are now in the middle of a heatwave. The new ‘room’ has performed immaculately throughout. Thanks to all the workmen involved who were always friendly and professional.

We had a standard thin plastic roof on the conservatory which was completely inadequate, as well as some of the window glazing starting to blow. I researched new conservatory roofs and found Stonebarrow on the Supalite installers list. The entire team - Stuart, Olly, Scott, Dave, Steve and Calvin were all a delight and very professional. Not forgetting Vaughan who came round post installation to fine tune the closing mechanisms on two uPVC doors - one of which wasn't even installed by Stonebarrow. Excellent company to deal with and I would recommend them 100%.

We had a conservatory roof put on during a most difficult period! We were not able to be around due to having to quarantine after an extended stay in Spain. The works proceeded without us and was done within the time frame, very professionally and efficiently. This year we decided to replace our conservatory roof. After much research and a number of visits from salesmen whose company’s specialise in different types of replacement roof, we chose a ‘Supalite’ tiled roof. Our next job was to find an installer who would do the job for a competitive price. One of the companies Supalite recommended was Stonebarrow. We approached Stonebarrow and were contacted by Olly , the business development manager, who was like a breath of fresh air compared to many other salesmen we had dealt with. No longer the hard sell and ridiculous pricing just someone saying ‘tell me what you need, the size of your conservatory and I will come back to you’. Within the hour we had an estimated price which seemed fair and reasonable. The project developed from there. After a visit from Ollie to confirm details; detailed plans were drawn up by the company and a start date for the work agreed. Fitting was on time and to plan. The work was completed to our total satisfaction by a professional team, even down to the removal of rubbish from the site. Having spent many years reviewing the performance of others I always pose the ‘so what’ question. So what does the work completed by Stonebarrow mean to us? We have a first class new roof fitted to the highest standards for which we feel we paid a competitive price. We are absolutely delighted!

From our first conversation with Olly it was obvious that at Stonebarrow the service was second to none, Olly was able to give all the information via a phone call to decide this was definitely worth pursuing. After an initial visit from Olly we went ahead with replacing our conservatory roof which is attached to the front of our park home with a Supalite tiled roof system. When Scott and Dave turned up to fit the roof they too were fantastic. Efficient and very clean. Then the plasterer to finish off and again we were not disappointed, excellent finish. Then the building inspector to approve the work. The end result is a fantastic looking room which we now use on a daily basis, at the end of the summer the roof stopped our lounge from being to hot and now in this cold weather our lounge stays warm! Sooo pleased with my roof panels. Have made the conservatory much warmer, as we were told they would. The lads took just four hours to remove glass and put in insulated panels. They were very pleasant young men, and left the place clean and tidy. Price was very good too. Would recomend Stonebarrow for all insulation

Stoonebarrow have just finished replacing our glass roof with a tiled roof. The work was carried out in a most professional way, quickly and efficiently. Really can't fault the workmanship and the guys were nice as well!
