Ponder Construction is praised for professional, knowledgeable teams who deliver new-build homes, bungalows, extensions and insurance work to a high standard. Reviews highlight clear communication, helpful advice, efficient administration, prompt responses and projects completed on time and within budget. There is one serious concern about material mark-ups and a separate complaint about plumbing repairs, but these sit alongside strong praise for workmanship and customer support.
Nigel and the rest of the team at Ponder Construction literally saved our project - stepping in as Principal Contractor at the 11th hour and, remarkably, ensuring our innovative new-build eco home was delivered on time and on budget. Since completion, I have already booked Ponder Construction on another job, and recommended Nigel to customers and contractors. This is a truly 5 star outfit!
Would highly recommend ponders construction. They worked on our house for a huge insurance job,. They were so efficient, great workmanship, stayed within the deadline. Nothing was to much hassle. Nigel and Therese were fantastic the whole time.

Superb experience. When you commit a substantial sum to have your “dream house” built you need to be confident that the Building Contractor will perform . Ponder Construction recently worked with us to build a bespoke bungalow. At all times they were professional, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. We were made aware of costs upfront and the build went very smoothly and on time despite issues nationally with materials. We are extremely happy with the result and have no hesitation in recommending Ponder Construction.
Very unhappy with mark up from this company, yes technical knowledge maybe good and friendly. But when being told that mark up on materials is 15% to later find out that in reality the mark up is as much as 60% on some of the materials. This is just for a phone call from them to order and they would almost certainly get a better price than me. Even then they did not order the correct amount and I had to pay a lot more to get extra in after paying for the goods. Would certainly not recommend and if you do use make sure you call around when getting quotes from them to ensure that you are not being scammed as I was.
I had a good experience with Ponder. They built two new build houses in Thurrock for me, and I found them easy to deal with, respectful and straightforward. The quality of their work was good and they have dealt with any small niggles efficiently and without any fuss. They gave good advice on design / specification issues during the job, which was particularly helpful. I would definitely consider them for any other similar projects I do.
Poor plumbing requiring repairs within 2 years of "new build".
Professional company, good staff/ tradesmen and responsive to any arising issues. Pleased with the resultant extension. Would recommend this company.

I am really pleased with my bungalow. It is well built and the company respond quickly to any issues. Not that there have been many. They are also supportive and will help with any questions or support you need. I would highly recommend them.
Having recently bought a bungalow from Ponder Construction I am impressed with the quality and finish of my new home. All fittings are of top quality as detailed in the brochure and extras I require have been dealt with promptly with no problem. Generally a great purchase with no negatives.
The property has been built both externally and internally to the highest standard. The interior design has been thoughtfully planned out and executed.
After receiving such a great experience with Ponder construction I would like to thank the team for being so professional throughout , I couldn’t say a bad word about the process and I will be recommending the company to my friends and family .
