James and his team did a fantastic job on our extension project. They helped with our design process and everything ran smoothly. As is often the case with complex house extensions, there were some unexpected issues encountered (different floor heights, unknown drainage issues, old wiring that was unsafe, that sort of thing). James advised us what he thought, explained the pros and cons and gave us a clear cost implication so that we could make an informed choice. The project ran exactly to budget and was completed within a week of the finish date - impressive for a 10-month project. The team were couteous, hard-working and considerate to our neighbours. Would certainly recommend them, and have done so to our friends.

James and his team were fabulous from start to finish. James was honest with how the build would take place and what parts of the house the builders would need and what we could have to continue to live in. He was also mindful of the family and how we needed to live during the 5 month project. His team are very skillful, polite and helpful. The project was finished ahead of the expected end date which was wonderful, allowing us to get everything ready for Christmas. . It was the first time we have completed a building project and James walked us through it at all stages, listened to our thoughts and added in his vast knowledge for good decisions to be made throughout the project. James produced a competitive tender and unlike other builders he priced over 90% of the project up front, so there were very few unknown costs at the start, that really helps for budgetting. He produces a very high build standard and we have had so many compliments on the build. We were recommended to use James and his team and we would agree wholeheartedly with the recommendation and would not fail to recommend Whitley Builders to others. Thank you to the whole team for a smooth project and an amazing build and remodelling of our house.
We have worked with James and his team on several projects now, because they always do a fantastic job. All the trades people James employs are highly skilled and deliver a professional finish - paying great attention to the details. The team was a pleasure to have in our family home.
James and his team fitted a large kitchen extension in 2021 and we chose them two years later to covert our loft. Both times they progressed rapidly and finished ahead of time. They were considerate and tidy (we remained in our house through the works). The work is a very high standard and remains as good as new. Best of all James attends every days and resolves problems before they happen. He is flexible and made excellent suggestions that has given us a modernised home that is both very practical and has wow factor.
