Nice guy but hadn’t a clue what to do with some crack stitching - helibar bars. Paid him for some work which is useless really and needs undoing and doing again properly. He put them about 3 to 4 mm in when they should be minimum half a brick in and bedded into resin. He didn’t use resin. They are doing nothing in terms of support as it is and then he just slapped some sand and cement over it. Absolute bodge and compete waste of time. Alarm bells should have rung when he’s never heard of helibar and he’s supposed to be a brickie. Contacted him and asked him to call me back but he didn’t. He may be ok with bricklaying but he has done a shoddy job for us and, if he had anything about him, he would offer to redo the work as it should have been done or offer a refund.
We are very happy with the lintel replacements that Stuart did for us. He did a great job matching our coloured mortar and has significantly improved the sagging brickwork at the rear of our house. Really friendly and professional throughout, would recommend his services.

Really pleased with the work Stuart completed for us. He was honest and transparent about his pricing, quick to respond to any queries and very tidy from start to finish. He addressed several issues with our brickwork/pointing on the gable end and two chimneys that needed maintenance/repair. Will be using him again for jobs in future.

Stuart did two jobs for us this year - built a section of garden wall and repointed the front of our house. He did a fantastic job on both, his workmanship is second to none, he’s clean and tidy and a very nice chap to boot. I’ve had several neighbours compliment his brick laying. Highly recommended!
