We had a metallic squeak in our master bedroom and landing that the developer failed to resolve; just walking away after multiple failed repairs. After going through insurance, Danny attended our property to bid for the contract. Straight away he had our trust with his knowledge and understanding of the work required. We were pleased when Danny was eventually awarded the contract to carry out, what for us, should have been a long and stressful process. But it wasn’t. Danny walked us through the project, explaining what work needed to carried out, for what originally was scheduled to be eight-weeks. The work involved demolishing a stud wall between the hall and Kitchen and resolving structural issues on a supporting steel beam above. Because the non-fire rated plasterboard was used on the kitchen ceiling, the correct ceiling plasterboard was to be fixed over the original plasterboard in the kitchen and hall. Day one: display cabinets and storage units were removed along the partition wall and the stud wall demolished. All before we had moved out of the house! What was originally an eight-week project reduced down to six weeks, thanks to Danny’s brilliant team, with at its peak, consisted of six men on the job! Throughout the whole six-weeks, Danny kept us informed of the various stages from the major building work, through to plastering, painting, flooring and finally cleaning. We are grateful to Danny for firstly shaving two weeks off the project, but especially for his knowledge and professionalism. When we moved back in, the standard of workmanship was, well, to put it, superb! In fact, it was better than when we first moved in! What I would say is that right from the very beginning, Danny considered the affect this was having on us, especially as it had been a long and stressful journey up to that point. Danny was at pains for us to have faith in builders who care and are considerate. Thank you Danny!
Danny and his team did a excellent job coverting a sitting room into bedroom, removing fire place and insulating the floor. Plastering and decorating was to a high standard. The team are friendly, reliable and communication first class. Will be using Danny and his team going forward with other projects.
Danny and the DSB team did a fantastic job on our 2-story side extension after being recommended to us by our neighbour. They were friendly and easy to deal with and Danny had excellent ideas for improving on the architect’s design. Ours is a period property and Danny’s team did an outstanding job of matching the new extension to the original house, both externally and internally, as per photos. I have since recommended DSB to others who have been equally pleased with the results.
DBS Construction have done 2 jobs for us; one internal, a kitchen rebuild and renovation and one external. We can’t fault Danny - he sets the standard and his team follow- they all really care. All work was finished to an exceptional standard and every member of the team is polite, helpful and great at what they do. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and would certainly use them again.

DSB Construction carried out a two story rear extension on our semi detached property and we couldn’t be more pleased with it two years later. Danny was a major reason we opted for DSB, with us being complete novices to any kind of building works he immediately put us at ease with his professional attitude and this was maintained throughout the project. The extension had numerous challenges, but each one would quickly be resolved/ overcome thanks to the team. One instance involved a bad water leak before the stopcock in the house and Danny didn’t hesitate in coming in around to fix issue. When it came to the kitchen design Danny used his previous experiences and knowledge to help guide us with this and we couldn’t be more thankful as we still love the kitchen layout! The team were highly skilled and carried work to a high standard and kept site tidy after each day.
Following many years of debate we finally decided to undertake our own mini ‘grand design’. Knowing Danny from secondary school I hoped Danny’s enthusiasm for life and work would be as I remembered and I wasn’t disappointed from the minute we met up for the first consultation Danny was as sound as I remembered and was excited to be involved with our project. Danny was professional from the off presenting a formal quote for the works, which was followed up with an exchange of contracts as protection for both parties. When undertaking such a personally invasive project we were looking for someone who would communicate well, have a high attention to detail and a passion to delivery a quality finish but just as important to us was wanting a friendly, trustworthy team of builders that made us feel comfortable opening our home with confidence that they would deliver what we had contracted then to do. Danny and his team fitted the bill here in all aspects to bring our project in on time and within budget all whilst maintaining a high quality finish 🤩 Danny has provided my family with an amazing addition to our family home that has allowed us to grow and make many more happy memories together in our home 😍 The quality of Danny’s work is high and true to photos posted on here and his website. DSB carried out an extension + kitchen project for us. We were very impressed. Danny communicated really well, the building work and finishes were of high technical standard, and the guys were pleasant to have around the house. The complexities of a difficult site plus us remaining in the rest of the house during the process were dealt with smoothly. Very happy to recommend.
Danny and his team recently replaced our French door and windows with a large sliding glass door across the back of our house – a job that required installing a steel to support the brickwork and roof above. The whole project took around two weeks, and from start to finish we felt we were in very safe hands. Danny was excellent at explaining what would be needed and why, and he promptly put us in touch with a structural engineer who provided the necessary specification. His communication throughout the project was clear, timely, and reassuring. The team arrived punctually every single day and worked incredibly hard throughout. There were no unnecessary breaks — just solid, focused work (I think they may have taken a quick 30-minute lunch at some point!). Their work ethic was outstanding and really stood out to us. The team were courteous, tidy, and unfailingly polite – always thanking us for the teas and coffees! The site was left clean at the end of every day, and they did a fantastic job minimising disruption by protecting our porcelain slabs and building a temporary wall to seal off the kitchen during the works. There were three standout things about DSB’s service: Excellent communication about what was planned and when. A commitment to timelines, with the team turning up as promised and progressing the work smoothly. All-in-one service – plumbing, electrics, plastering, decorating. Everything was handled in-house, so when the building work was complete, we weren’t left with a half-finished space. Overall, we’re absolutely delighted with the result and would highly recommend Danny and his team at DSB.
Danny and his team were recommended by friends and we have been really happy with the work to deliver a 2-story side extension plus garage and rear ground floor extension, on budget. Great consultation and suggestions given throughout the build and with having to live on-site (with two small children) the team planned and carried out the work in a considerate manner. My conservatory needed to be refurbished. DSB was professional and reliable from start to finish. We discussed what I wanted and based on that a quotation was provided. Once agreed the start date was agreed. The team arrived and we talked through the plan again to double check everything. The team was here for 2 weeks and I have been left with a totally refurbished space which is bright and welcoming.
