I called Andy out to repoint a wall that had crumbling cement due to years of water overflowing from the gutter above when it rained heavily. There had been a leak into the house at a particular spot, and although this spot had been filled already I was concerned that we might have other leaks if the rest of the wall was not repaired. He came to take a look the same day and did the job the next day! The wall looks great now and I’m no longer worried about leaks.

Andy did some repointing work for us after it started leaking, and was super helpful, honest and professional at every step. Gave a thorough explanation of why the leak had happened, and what he'd done to fix it. We have every confidence that the work will last now; highly recommended!

Unfortunately all the repointing done by Andy had to be stripped off and done again. Not only was the wrong mortar used but power cables, the gas main, TV, phone lines and window frames were damaged with the angle grinder. Mortar was spread over moss and live exposed copper cable. Numerous bricks were damaged and chipped or stained with mortar in the process, costing thousands to rectify, with the ridge pointing causing damp to bathroom.

East Mids Building Restoration provided a competitive quote on a listed building. The work was completed on schedule and with minimal disruption. A high quality of work and a professional attitude from Andy throughout the process was our experience. Absolutely no hesitation in giving a five star rating.

Having seen the quality of Andy's work at a neighbouring property I asked for a quote to repoint our 6 pot chimney stack. The quote was very reasonable. On closer inspection after the scaffolding was erected, it was decided to take the stack down, rebuild it and reset the pots. We agreed that Andy would do the job on a day rate basis. This was completed in a relatively short time using the all the original bricks and a traditional lime based mortar. I am very pleased with the finished result. Andy is conscientious, hardworking and reliable.

Having looked for someone to repoint our house for quite some time I chanced upon Andy and contacted him to check availability. His quote was reasonable and he also seemed reliable so I immediately asked him to do the job. I wasn't disappointed as only a few weeks later he contacted me to say he could start and the work he has done is excellent. Andy visited us to take a look at brickwork completed on our house extension. This had been completed some years prior to us moving in. His assessment of the issue was exactly what our surveyor had written in his report. I had Andy re-point the entire side, front and porch on my 1930's semi detached property. I was very pleased the overall quality of the work and the help & advice he had offered about other aspects of the renovation works too.
