Smith & Sons did an amazing job on our Patio. Sam and his team were very helpful with the design and did some extra work to make sure everything looked amazing. Clean and polite workers and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Will be using them again.

Sam came to our rescue when we had water coming into the bathroom following a combination of poor work of another roofing contractor and the recent rain storm. He diagnosed the issues quickly, gave excellent advice, and returned promptly to do the work. Excellent service - will always be our first point of contact for future works.

Had some ridiculous quotes from other roofers, so it was a relief when Sam from Smith & Sons of Deal came out. He carried out a full drone survey and provided a detailed, honest report explaining exactly what was needed. The price quoted for the repairs was fair and transparent, and the work was carried out shortly after. The team were clean, tidy, and well-mannered, and the whole process was stress-free from start to finish. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them to friends and family.

A roof leak meant we had water coming through our light fittings in the recent storms. Sam responded really quickly; he called in the same day and made the repair first thing the following (Saturday) morning. He was polite and friendly, and pointed out what could be realistically achieved with an old roof. We are really grateful for this level of service and will definitely ask him to look at our bigger renovation projects.

We have just had our roofing tiles replaced with new and all associated work (felt etc) , I don't normally give 5 star's but Sam Smith and men deserve it. They were prompt, polite, hard worker's, quote was as agreed on. Nothing was too much trouble, finished on time, cleared up, and checked work afterwards. Thoroughly recommend.

Garage conversion completed quickly and to a high standard. Sam is easy to deal with and nothing is too much trouble. The finished project was exactly what we wanted and I wouldn't hesitate to use Smith and Sons again, or to recommend to others.

We contacted sam at Smith and sons of deal about knocking down a wall in between our kitchen and dining room. Sam was quick to come round and explain the process and provide a quote. Sam’s suggestions on the best approach and finishing touches were really helpful. Throughout the process he kept us updated and was quick to respond to any queries. He checked we were happy with each stage of the process. Sam and his team completed our work to a really high standard Sam and his team were very tidy and considerate of us having young kids in the house. Sam and another of his team repointed a chimney stack on our Victorian house after we found evidence of water ingress in the room below. It was a tricky roof to work on. On closer viewing, a couple of other issues with loose tiles were spotted. Sam repaired these too. Turned up on time and were polite and mindful of our cat. So great all round.

Sam and the team did an amazing job removing our gas chimney - we’re so pleased with the result! It ended up being a much bigger job than planned and was a nightmare at points, with issues emerging daily. Sam supported us brilliantly and professionally throughout, reassured us and worked really hard to give us the outcome we’d originally wanted. We can’t praise the team enough! Ryan was super on the electrics and helped us with some future proofing, which will save us hassle down the line. Sam was even up for clearing the moss build-up on our roof! We’re hoping they’ll be able to do the next phase of our renovations as trusted contractors are so hard to find! We’d highly recommend these guys!

We first met Sam 6 months ago when he agreed to take down two chimney stacks from our nearly 100 year old bungalow in Whitstable. We were very pleased with the efficient and timely way he and his team dealt with that job, so really delighted that he agreed to take on a project to reconfigure our floor space to create a new kitchen, bathroom and additional cloakroom. The work involved removing internal walls and chimney breasts, and repairing ceilings and floors damaged by long term leaks. Sam worked really hard to make sure the project ran smoothly and timely, so as to minimise the time we were without basic facilities. All the trades that were required, plastering, electrics, plumbing, tiling and carpentry were carried out to a very high standard, and the project was completed in 6 weeks. I couldn’t fault Sam and his team in any way. Always on time, polite and cheerful, even under pressure, and just all round really nice guys. What’s not to like! Highly recommended, and I will certainly be calling Sam up for any future projects.

Sam has been working alongside the lettings business for us and have to say the work and service he provides is worth a mention. They have been working in Deal for many years and we have known them for most of them, way before Sam knew that plaster wasn't just for a grazed knee! They are well worth considering at the very least for any works you have planned!

Sam and his team are really helpful, professional and reliable. They renovated our 3 bed 60's property (which was very dated!) to a clean and modern look to a very high standard. Taking out load bearing walls, replastering walls, fitting our kitchen, laying flooring and everything in-between. It has been great working with smith and sons on my project over the past few months. The work that has been carried out to a high standard and on time. Sam project managed the refit to my property and Assured the work was carried out to the timeline. He also is the kind of builder you want if you run into a problem,as he knows how to work around most things. We recently had our house re-roofed due to various ongoing issues, this included new felt, battens, lead flashing, gutter etc. Had several quotes with varying degrees of advice but sam from smith and sons of deal. simplified the roofing jargon, no hard sale and a very competitive quote. The team did a great job on an internal wall and some electrical work and flooring I had done. They quoted competitively, answered all my questions and were flexible with what I needed. The work was done promptly and to a high standard and they were great at finding solutions not problems! Really positive experience and would use them again in future.

Very hard working, good value, very pleasant to deal with. I love my new drive and sam stayed cheerful throughout, despite our house not being the easiest to work with, multiple drain covers and gates. I would definitely recommend.

Single storey extension Sam and the team were great throughout the whole process. In the lead-up to the extension being built,Sam was always available and was at hand to answer any questions that I had straight away which helped reassure us. Whilst the build was underway, he also provided updates on when certain tradespeople were coming around which helped. Ste and the team were also very punctual and turned up on time every day when they said they would do. Regarding the building of the extension, everything went to plan and everything under his control was delivered on time and was done to a very good standard. I would be more than happy to recommend Sam and consider using him for any future projects / general works that we may need to carry out in the future.

We were impressed by smith and sons of deal, who were friendly and reliable from the start. Sam was great at communicating with us and provided full, accurate, cost-breakdowns. Sam has recently got back in contact to put a review on the work that was carried out in 2016, Sam removed a chimney breast in our property which is a very messy job, Sam made sure throughout the work carried out that the house was kept clean and tidy (as possible) the end result was to a fantastic standard of work and we could not recommend him and his team enough.
