A.R Whiting

A.R Whiting is an Eastleigh-based bathroom fitting and plumbing business with roots going back to 1908. Andrew represents the fifth generation of the trade, following in the footsteps of his great-great-grandfather, who originally travelled to jobs with a hand cart around the Bitterne Park area of Southampton before the firm moved on to a motorbike and sidecar.

Having completed his apprenticeship under Richard, Andrew continues to run this long-standing family trade, which stands as probably one of the oldest plumbing businesses in Southampton. Historically, they served as the plumbers for the Fleming and Swaythling estates as well as numerous large country houses, maintaining a dedicated plumbing tradition that spans more than a century.
