My wife contacted Pointy after returning home and realising the boiler wasn’t working. We did not expect him to be able to come on the day but he turned up and did a really thorough job even late on a Monday evening. He was also very friendly and explained what he was doing. His charge was also reasonable. Would definately recommend and we will be using again!
PPHPointy are exceptional in their installs of air-conditioning, they payed particular attention to concealing piping,cables and neatness.They installed a single air-conditioning uniting the bedroom,and I am impressed with the quality and service provided. They come highly recommended 👌
Pointy plumbers. What can I say. JUST FANTASTIC, BRILLIANT, MEGA. Recommended by our son We had no water coming into our house for nearly 3 days. Our water supplier next to useless, in fact they didn’t want to know. We were desperate and then came along mr pointy. Genuinely the nicest, most knowledgeable plumber I have ever met. He went through everything with us step by step, rectified the problem, fixed it, tidied up and didn’t charge the earth. Rare I know but he is a gem. So Thankyou the stress was taken away in an instance by a highly professional team. If I could give ten stars I would.
I can’t recommend PPH Pointy plumbers highly enough. Friendly, polite, respectful & reliable. This is the Third job they have done for us and we couldn’t be more pleased.
We had a gas leak on some old black iron gas pipe. British Gas confirmed run from meter to boiler had to be changed but were a bit stumped on where to run it. We called Rob and the lads. After a quick visit to assess we had a price and start date. They didn’t half work hard with carpets and floorboards up in most of the upstairs. All was put back as if they were never here. The moral is don’t call British Gas, call Rob & the crew.
Pointy was a real down-to-earth bloke. Easy to deal with, straight to the point, and got on with the job with no messing about. Worked hard, did a great job, and was reasonably priced too. Would definitely recommend!
Pointy plumbing and heating was brilliant from the first phone call to completion of my boiler install. The guys was very polite, and very thorough with the task and job at hand. Felt at ease leaving them to work in the property whilst I was out. They was very clean and tidy and always detailed in the job description on why they was doing certain things. From the first phone call they gave me reassurance after being let down by another plumber and managed to for me in very quickly to restore my heating and hot water. Can’t fault them at all thanks Rob, George and Stuart. Won’t hesitate to use you again.
I cannot tell you how pleased my husband and I are with the service we just received from Robert at Pointy Plumbing & Heating. Just fantastic! A bright, funny and bubbly character, he fixed our Baxi boiler problems very quickly and impressed us both with his knowledge and professionalism. He even fixed a problem I had with a virus on my mobile phone, as an added bonus. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending his services.
Another amazing job done by Pointy and PPH Plumbing & Heating! This time it was an outside tap, but we've also had our whole house re-piped by him, all in copper, all new radiators fitted, and had a new boiler fitted and regularly maintained. Can't fault any of it. He's the best in the business hands down. Highly skilled, experienced, honest pricing, and tidys up after a job, what more could you want!

Our central heating thermostat broke and we called a gas engineer who unfortunately couldn't get his head around the wiring of the thermostat to the boiler. I was recommended PPH Pointy Plumbing &Heating from my daughter, he turned up promptly on the time we agreed and sorted out all the wiring and fitted a new IT800 Smart Thermostat which we can control locally or via wifi. He was very professional and polite and cleaned up any mess he made while doing his job. I would highly recommend this company as he done a remarkable job.
We had Robert round my mother-in-law’s to repair a small leak on shower tap. The repair lasted 2 days. So I called him back to arrange to pop back to have another look. Which i got verbally abused with foul language. I am absolutely disgusted in Roberts behaviour. Have logged with trading standards.
I called Rob for a quote last year and sat on it for a while plus I was trying to stretch this boiler out but this month my boiler decided to play up plus it was over 15 years old and I am renovating my kitchen so I thought it would be better to replace it now rather than later after my kitchen was fitted. So I messaged Rob again for a re quote and he quickly replied with a fair enough price so I agreed and as I was without a boiler during these winter nights he quickly scheduled me in for installation. It was a first class installation with attention to detail as I am a very particular myself but I can not fault anything. Left clean and tidy as well. Look no further and contact pph for your plumbing needs. He has my 5 stars

No words i write here will ever do Pointy justice, he is literally the messiah of all things heating and plumbing. His first job for us was few years ago, he was recommended to us by the in-laws who had also used him with very positive outcomes, he and his right hand man 'Grandad' came to change some taps that had seen better days for us and I gotta admit it was love at first sight on my part. He is an instantly likeable character and just oozes enthusiasm for what he does and will always explain how things work and leave you feeling enlightened and, as a customer, valued and satisfied with the work he has done. The smaller jobs turned into larger ones and he also became our service engineer for our annual boiler inspection. Basically if it is plumbing or heating related he is our man. We have just moved home and this week the guys have been out to install virtually an entirely new heating system, including removal of existing boiler (which was older than gods dog) and relocation with a combi system upstairs, shiny new radiators throughout and other heatingy type things like chemical flushes and stuff. Now you're probably wondering why I am reviewing Pointy before the job is completed and i'll explain why. I know with a certainty almost as sure as death and taxes that his work carries an outstanding level of detail, it is very safe from a gas compliance perspective, and will also function as intended when complete. The only down side to this is we will now only see him once a year for the annual inspection. So...You came here to read reviews based on how good these particular tradesmen are at the job you require them to do... Well anyone who has ever had Pointy, Grandad or Stu round to do any work for them will all tell you the same - They are just outstanding! Thank you Rob, Grandad and Stu. Yet again you have done an amazing job and we can't thank you enough. ❤️
Had PPH Pointy Plumbing & Heating in to replace a 25 year old boiler and get all the radiators working again. Great job. Hot water now runs after seconds instead of minutes and radiators all piping hot. House was left tidier than it was before they arrived. Highly recommended. Thank you!!
A mysterious leakage was spotted in the house. Thought it concerned the heating system, so I contacted Pointy. The response was quick and a date fixed promptly. Problem could not be identified initially, but after further investigation, removing the desk, pulling up the carpet, lifting the floorboards, the source of the leakage was at last found. Repair was quickly done, with suitable spare part, and everything was put back to normal after work. Very efficient and professional, very neat and tidy. Thank you very much indeed to the whole team.

Best decision we made was to go with pointy plumbing. Rob and his team were absolutely brilliant! We had quite a few quotes from different plumbers for a new combo boiler and radiators, we knew straight away that we wanted pointy to do it. Worth every single penny!! Thank you again lads
Rob came and quoted for a boiler replacement quickly. Price was reasonable and I was fitted in quickly. The guys who came and fitted the boiler were very friendly and walked me through what they were doing at each stage. Work was completed to a high standard. Very clean and tidy. Rob came out at short notice to isolate my gas hob after I had found it was leaking the night before. He then replaced the hob for me and also gave the boiler a service as it wasn't turning back on. Great service. Would recommend. Additional review - I had a cowboy plumber poorly fit some radiators, PPH came and repaired the radiators to a great standard. They checked to make sure I was happy with the work and explained the process of what they were doing. I won't be using anyone else from now on!
Rob did a fantastic job of installing our new gas hob today. This included re-fitting of the gas pipework so our new under-counter oven fit flush with the unit fronts. All of this was no bother at all for Rob, who completed all aspects of the installation very professionally and at a very competitive price. I highly recommend PPH Pointy Plumbing & Heating, and will certainly use again in the future.

Rob has recently installed a combi boiler central heating system. His knowledge and technical ability is excellent. He is clearly up to date with current technology and his installation is extremely neat and you can see he takes a pride in his work (beautiful updated pipe work in the garage). He is very thorough and goes through all the checks and tests. I am extremely pleased I came across Rob and his colleague George. Have employed Rob and his coworker aka 'grandad' on two occasions: to install a water pressure regulator valve on my mains connection, and to fix a leaky toilet flush pipe. Both times he has left my house better than he found it! Prices are very reasonable, and I can tell he genuinely wants to do the job well, to a high and lasting standard, rather than quickly. He has also done the required sealing and cutting of cabinets etc to make sure all the works and improvements fit where they need to as well and look nice. He's also a bit of a coffee connoisseur which is a good sign! ;) Highly recommended!
Pointy is a knowledgeable, talented and most importantly honest man. He fixed our water heater, came round the same day I asked him and then looked around for the best price for the part I needed rather than just getting me the most expensive and charging me extra. I have recommended him to so many others and he has since fitted a new boiler for my parents and an entire central heating system for my friend. Had a complete change from a 25 year old system boiler with hot water tank etc to a Baxi 36kw combi boiler. Also had TRVs fitted to upstairs radiators and Hive remote system installed. Top quality installation from a top quality guy. Super happy with the result. Why would you go anywhere else?

Pointy is a rare breed... a trades person who is honest, fair, trustworthy, massively knowledgeable, and entirely determined to do everything the "right way". The downside, these traits mean he is a man in demand, but if you book him, he'll turn up when he tells you he will, and do a proper job.
Rob turned up exactly when we agreed, he quickly found the problem and explained everything clearly, said he would get the part and an hour later was fixed. Left everything clean and tidy and showed me the damaged part and explained why it was damaged and how the replacement wouldn’t get damaged in the same way. Very reasonable too!! Broke down the costs so I knew exactly what I was paying for! Would highly recommend this chirpy chappy!!!

The service provided by PPH has been fantastic. Had a central heating leak. Pointy and his apprentice diagnosed and fixed the problem. They were very reliable, professional and friendly. Very reasonably priced for the job carried out and have no hesitation in calling PPH again. Would highly recommend to others. Used google reviews to find him and was so impressed that I felt I needed to leave a review, which I don't usually do!
Pointy came earlier this week & fitted us some new radiators in the hall , bathroom & pantry which were such cold spots in the house, also he fitted us a new boiler , the house is so lovely & warm , they worked so hard & each day left it spotless , such clean workers , we are over the moon & wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone

Pointy is a true old fashioned Gent. Spent two days in my house with a fellow plumber (Grandad) and installed the pipework required for two radiators, a 4 by 6 metre underflooring area with manifold and a new sink / dishwasher. VERY impressed with quality. I then discovered a gas leak 3 days later and spoke with Pointy who drove over (from an hour away at 6 pm.) The leak was diagnosed as a faulty anaconda tube (the bit that connects the house gas supply to the meter) Pointy phoned up the gas folks and 'Cadent' arrived 30 minutes later and fixed it. Stopped Pointy in the street, sheer coincidence as he was visiting someone else, had a problem finding spares for a rented property. Not only did he take time out to help, but looked at the picture I had on my phone and told me how to reconnect the sink pipes! Took time to help, what a gent! In fact in my new property I have a problem with the boiler so will be calling him today....watch this space!

Rob dug me out of a hole when I had a leak appear through my kitchen ceiling - just as I sold my house! I tried to sort it myself via days of exasperation and stress without success.
