Oxon Energy had the opportunity to retrofit Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery in this 1961 constructed house. Now the property is fully insulated it is essential that the house is ventilated. The flexible ducting and the Air Smart MVHR system work a treat. It is quiet and effective, the house being warm, the air fresh and clean. It is the way forward for all homes. Would recommend: Yes What could we do better?: Understanding the nature of the work, cooperation between home owners, builders and installers is vital. Overall it went smoothly but it wasn’t without its moments. The end result and the continued aftercare is great.

We only proceeded as far as sales discussion with Samantha and Rob regarding an Air Source Heat Pump and a new wet system for radiators or underfloor heating. They were patient, helpful, courteous, responsive and knowledgeable. Ultimately Oxon Energy were not the installer we chose to proceed with. They were among the best reviewed, as well as TrustMark and Which? Trusted Trader, and were in the middle of the pack in terms of price. From our desk-exercise alone, we can say going with Oxon Energy would be a wise choice. We cannot vouch for their actual installation and after-sales care, but other reviews cover that!

Oxon Energy recently installed an Air Source Heat Pump, hot water cylinder and also replaced our radiators which required replacing due to their age and condition. We are very happy with the installation and the operation of the system thus far. We have yet to go through a winter but we are confident it will perform as designed. At each stage of the process all of the Oxon team were polite, responsive and patiently explained answers to any questions we had. As with all construction projects there were minor snagging issues to sort out. These were always dealt with promptly and with good grace. We would whole heartedly recommend Oxon Energy and it team of Engineers and Admin staff to anyone thinking of getting an Air Source Heat Pump.

Joe was recommended to me by a friend, and I've been impressed by the obvious expertise that he and Tom have in the field of renewable energy. My project was to replace an oil boiler with an ASHP, coupled with underfloor heating to the ground floor. Joe worked through a couple of designs to ensure that the solution would work for my house which had a mixture of older and more modern build. I've been equally impressed with every member of the team that I've met or spoken to throughout the works, they are all focused on doing the best job, and have also been great in providing aftercare support with a subsequent problem. So a big thanks (from my warm house!) to Joe, Tom, Tania, Anna, Harry, Reece and Tom. Would definitely recommend!

I was very pleased to find Oxon Energy – a local company with a very high level of competence, professionalism and friendliness. They helped us through the specification phase and answered our many questions with understanding, technical expertise and humour. The installation is now complete - ASHP, underfloor heating on the ground floor and new rads on the first floor. The whole team is very communicative and knowledgeable, and the job is tidy, neat and efficient. They interfaced well with our other building contractors, and they continue to support us as we learn and adapt to the new system. Oxon Energy is a pleasure to work with; I highly recommend them.

Oxon Energy Ltd installed our air source heat pump recently and we could not be happier. The unit is working very well and the house is cosy and snug. It was a pleasure having the very professional Oxon team in our house. They were friendly, easy to talk to and made an effort not to get in the way or make a mess. When we requested a change to the original agreed plan they could not have been more accommodating. The quality of work was very high and great attention was paid to detail at every step of the process. As ours is a grade II listed building, they were at pains to make sure the unit was well hidden away. When it was commissioned, Tom took the time to take us through the elements of the system and the controller and left us feeling we were well placed to manage the new system. The office team was equally helpful, responsive and professional. They served as perfect backup for the on-site team. The whole process was smooth, painless and efficient. We could not be happier.

Great service and glad to have replaced gas boiler with AIr Sourced Heat Pump

I contacted and received quotes from 7 companies for my heat pump project. Of these, 5 companies visited my property to review the job properly and just 2 companies demonstrated full expertise by answering heat pump specific questions. I chose Oxon Energy for two main reasons: (1) they were highly contactable and continued to liaise with me on details specific to my project towards full specification of the job and (2) they were willing to meet my challenging requirement that the hot water cylinder was to be installed in our loft space. From selecting Oxon Energy, they swiftly completed all paperwork (incl. BUS grant), planned the work, and carried out the installation to the time and budget as stated on the quotation. The team worked tirelessly for 2 weeks, and the quality of the materials and workmanship was excellent. So far, the system is working perfectly. We now have a warm home, and our electricity consumption is far lower than previous winters, when our home was heated by storage heaters. I highly recommend Oxon Energy.

Joe, Tom & co installed a new ASHP and HW cylinder (as well as swapped a few radiators) to replace an ancient gas boiler at our place. They were always here when they said they'd be here, and always left the place looking like they'd never even been here. We weren't without heat or hot water in a cold January for more than an hour or two at any point during the install. They finished the job on time and to the figure we were quoted. The house has been consistently warm and comfortable since the switch-over and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them - the epitome of knowledge, consideration for customers, and expertise.

We used Oxon based on their sound understanding of the project and equipment - as well as a Trade connection who recommended Joe in particular for his keen understanding of the air source heat pump system. We have been very happy with the work carried out and the end result. The team are friendly and knowledgeable, I asked a lot of questions during the instal and if someone wasn't sure of the answer I would get a call that night to confirm the answer. They turned up when they said they would, no delays or postponements, and although they went a day over the plan, this was not on part of their team, more an issue with electrician timing. The work was completed in a very reasonable timeframe and thorough sign off completed. After-sales and support have been good - easy to get hold of and willing to offer assistance. Very highly recommended.

Great communication from Joe in the lead-up to the job, great and patient advice, going out of his way to accommodate our requests. When it came to the job itself, the team were professional and friendly, clearly taking pride in their work, the piping in our airing cupboard is a work of art. Once completed we had a couple of airlocks as the system settled down, these were sorted immediately with no quibbles. Great advice on setting up and tuning the system. Joe also helped with our Renewable Heat Incentive application. Top job!

Oxon Energy installed an Air Source Heat Pump in our bungalow in November 2021, which has been working well since it was commissioned. Joe, Tom and the team have been really good communicators both before and after the installation. They have done an extremely neat job, and always cleaned up well after themselves, as well as using appropriate protection for carpets, etc. They are always polite.

I found Oxon Energy to be a great company to deal with. We had our gas boiler replaced with an air source heat pump, with some additional/replacement radiators. They were helpful and professional throughout, from the planning to the fit out and then the grant application.. Prompt and Efficient at all times and the quality of the install was very high. Their staff gave us confidence in their service and were polite and pleasant to have around. I recommend them to anyone who is looking to upgrade / modernise and get greener on their heating system! Honestly, I've never experienced such a rude supplier before in my life. Not only did they refuse to give a polite or informed answer when I requested a certain brand be installed, but then they had the nerve to accuse me of not providing a quote because I apparently hadn't responded to their last email. Their last email stated they would send a quote. This was after a long set of emails delaying providing a quote. At the end of the day, they didn't deliver. It's clear that there is high demand for heat pump installations. However, that doesn't mean that customers need put up with rude suppliers. No doubt they will reply blaming the customer, which is an indication itself on how they consider customers. I highly recommend you look somewhere else.

Joe was excellent at providing solutions to problems that baffled me and helped us create a really good working space in the bakery. Very efficient and great work effort. Pleasure to do business with.

Oxon Energy installed an Air Source Heat Pump and replaced all the radiators in the house to provide a good volume of heat into the property. I decided to choose a larger ASHP to cope with -10 to -15 C to do with climate change and so we examined the benefits of 4 or 5 different suppliers products and I chose the best one. I found Joe, Tom and the team were professional, trustworthy, creative and thorough in their design, approach and completion of the project. The installation team were polite, friendly and worked continuously until my project was finished, I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Corresponded at length with Oxon energy on the installation of a new heating system. Made arrangements for the engineer to come and provide a quote, but after two weeks of waiting for the quote, called and was told no quote would be provided due to overwork. That's fair enough but their potential customers are also busy and don't have time to entertain speculative propositions.

Oxon Energy provided a air source heating system for a new build barn. They provided an excellent service and we are looking to use them on another project involving an air source heat pump.

A very good experience with the Oxon Energy team. We had a new boiler installed, with face masks, gloves and other safe working practices employed in these times of coming out of Covid lockdown. We've known the team at Oxon for a few years from when they started work on a renovation project for us. It involved complex replumbing of pretty much an entire house including some fairly imaginative existing setups. The work they did was very high quality and they were hugely helpful during the whole process. Since then we've had to call on them a couple of times - mainly manufacturer defects - and they've always been with us as soon as they can and they're a pleasure to have around. We highly recommend them if you need anything doing which falls into their scope.

Oxon Energy installed a large, complex ventilation and cooling system and equipment very well indeed so that it appears to be built as part of the house. Not only were Joe and Tom pleasant, reliable, considerate and trustworthy but also so were the other tradesmen they introduced. They overcame several equipment supplier difficulties with good humour and kept to their original price. They had the place decorated perfectly at completion and the system works very well. It is rare to be able to say you recommend a supplier unreservedly but we can with Oxon Energy.

An excellent piece of work involving the complete replacement of two out-of-date en-suite bathrooms. Plumbing, plastering and tiling were co-ordinated and completed neatly,on time and within budget. Look no further than Oxon Energy.
